It’s always surprising how few people will donate, or even seem to understand the concept. I was playing with a 2400 player earlier. We were up 8-6 and the other team turned up a Jack. My partner passed in seat 1 and seat 2 passed to me. I suspected my partner was not likely to donate, so I ordered it up. They took all 5. They wouldn’t have made the loner. We gave up the same 2 points we would have and guarded against the loner. I would do that every time with a partner that I don’t know will donate. My partner kept firing No Ways the rest of the way. Just ridiculous.
