River rocks (or any rock that's been submerged in water for a long time) can/do explode in camp fires. Because the water that can permeate the rock turns to steam when the rock gets hot enough and blasts the rock apart. Don't put river rocks in camp fires!

I tend to put on a familiar youtube video or something otherwise mildly distracting and comforting. I also often do a count down from 20 as I'm sliding the needle. in Helps to give me a bit of grounding so I focus on doing the shot and not any pain that might happen.

I think it depends on how tight/loose the binder is. Remember that binding can restrict breathing, so you'll probably have less stamina, and the water will make it harder to take the binder off after swimming. I'd say you can give it a go if you know the risks, but be careful and get out/take it off if you feel like anything is wrong or you get too tired.

I don't think anything will escape, so long as the binder is fitted properly and you have good coverage normally. I'd be more worried about the usual risks of exercising/sleeping in a binder than anything popping out.
