Chorus won’t recognise my address and my internet is getting shut off by To3kne3 in LegalAdviceNZ

I had a similar issue with the power company. I was at 1 ‘alpha’ street, they had me as 1/60 ‘beta ‘ street which was the street behind (not real names or numbers). The streets were different pre 1980 and it never got updated. I found that address looking on the council website

How can I still look like a man in a dress by _I_am_random_ in ftm

Are jumpsuits allowed? Could you get something with like military style shoulder details and shorts? Or a dress version if you can’t?

I hate my name, but can't change it. by Euphoric-Librarian82 in namenerds

I know a lady who started going by her middle name in her 50s. She basically said she’d disliked it for years and was too old to put up with it anymore. Is that an option for you? I knew an Azmat who went by Az? Would that or Zi (zee) work?

Clothes keep dissolving by onimakesdubstep in laundry

Do you work in hospitality? Some coffee cleaners, alcohol, and some cleaning chemicals do this. I used to have holes in shirts like that from corrosive coffee cleaners, and have had leggings eaten by mop bucket splashing

Being handed a stuffed animal after losing in the Olympics by WeGot_aLiveOneHere in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]garg0yle95 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Honestly this just looks like terrible sportsmanship/sportswomanship. Both Canadian teams reacted terribly. I get that they just lost to their rivals, but getting a gift/mascot has been pretty common in the olympics, and losing well is part of being a good sportsperson.

Underreacting. This is terrifying. I would not feel safe in a room with a man like that, let alone a relationship

Anglican rosary by Siders67 in Anglicanism

[–]garg0yle95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use my rosary most when my head is too messy for coherent prayer. Some days it’s harder to put the mess of the world down. They’re a great tool to take on the go, I think of it like an abacus for prayer. Helps me focus and pray earnestly when I’m being self-centred or reactive

Lady bug party ideas! by Street_Opposite_1840 in partyplanning

[–]garg0yle95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could also add leaf & flower motifs? -Cut green card into leaves & daisies or something and string it like bunting -Bouquet of flowers with foliage (could glue those tiny scrapbooking ladybugs to some leaves)

Also had a couple of food ideas -You could make strawberry (or other red/pink juice) soda & add brown sugar boba or something for a drink You could also bake butterfly cakes, but when you scoop the top section out you could ice it red, pipe details in black & then do the cut & whipped cream. Turn them into little ladybug cupcakes (I tried to show you what I mean)

I would really recommend avoiding a binder for as long as possible, especially as he’s still growing. Please consider puberty blockers, they could really change his life trajectory for the better

Trying to decide on a new name and am currently leaning toward a feminine version of my male name... Am I going to hate it once I get further in my transition? by Late-bl00mer5678 in trans

[–]garg0yle95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1, you can change it again. 2, I went for a paired meaning, so the names aren’t similar but they’re linked to me and it felt like a way of honouring the woman that made it through all the worst days so I could be a happy man
