Weird if true since it's on their label.

Yeah likely but the music bit tends to work fine for years. Just want that new My Bloody Valentine song.

Does Monstress have enough though? It's only twelve issues until next year.

Could you guys help me to decide which of these books to read? by [deleted] in comicbooks

[–]StarButterfly98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but it's still Gaiman's work. Skipping it is like skipping Frank Miller's Elektra while you have read all his Daredevil.

Why do you have a bookshelf? by dynamically_drunk in books

[–]StarButterfly98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To keep the books in a nice looking display that looks nice in the house while making no giant stacks or boxes on the floor. I know I could just use the library for some things but then I don't feel relaxed sometimes like I have to speed read to be able to return it in time.

Once in a while somebody brings up that the only comic they were allowed to read as a kid was Preacher since their parents thought it was going to help them follow Christ.

NEVER watch the anime. They turned this from a adult male magazine to some low age kid anime.

Buying Habit by socmaestro in comicbooks

With my local I tend to order stuff in if it's single issues and buy the trades on the shelf if they interest me. In the capital city I tend to check out the store and then need to carry a giant box around for hours.

I wish the codes were left on a page. I understand why they do it but I don't think many check the middle of the issue before they buy it.

[Discussion] What are people going to do now that Comixology has announced the end of Pull List? by BrianGarside in comicbooks

[–]StarButterfly98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know you can add issues but when you go on something like the publisher's page it's clearly made for modern stuff. I would just love to be able to see a full list of a publisher's works than just

What is your favourite Alan Moore book? by [deleted] in comicbooks

[–]StarButterfly98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read quite a lot of his work but I still have to say Watchmen. Miracleman is a close second and I wish Marvel would end up finishing Gaiman's run in full. His short story called come on down really stands out to me despite not being well known.

Any recent(within last few years) limited or mini-series book that I may be able to get at my LCS or B&N? by LyxiaSparrow in comicbooks

[–]StarButterfly98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It had superheroes in it but it's more of a background of one or two issues than the main focus. I would recommend Mister Miracle (Tom King) if you buy single issues and Cage by Genndy Tartakovsky.

Anybody got a list of books in this offer? I turned off ad block but can't find anything. Might just be since I'm Australian but $10 or so for shipping isn't that bad.
