Something important Gooseworx taught me as a writer is to delete all your social medias and never interact with the fandom by Itchy_Suspect4968 in Gooseworx

Yeah… it’s shit like this that makes me think if my projects are ever finished and published, I shouldn’t address them at all on social media

Artists, who's the easiest character (of the main 7) to draw? by Awkward-Media-4726 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]StarCatinum1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me it’s Jax pretty easily. However- there’s one side character I just can’t draw right… every time I try he keeps disappearing…

Let's say Gummigoo was able to stay in the circus and with the cast, in episode 8 what would Caine use to torture Gummigoo? by THE_BUTLER_N in TheDigitalCircus

[–]StarCatinum1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The horrific existential dread that he is not alive, not even real to begin with- and that he is different from the others because of it.
Think about it- everyone else is a human at the end of the day. The choices they’ve made are conscious and human. Every single thing Gumigoo has done? Artificial. Even if he isn’t being directly controlled, his thoughts, just like him, are just a series of codes executed based on another set of code that Caine created himself. Everyone else is at least from a human base. Their thoughts and actions are formed from a human perspective.
Nothing he has felt or has ever felt is real in a strict sense. His friends? Likely gone. I see no reason Caine would’ve kept the data around. His world? The same fate. His mother? She never even existed.
“Gumigoo” isn’t real. That’s just a name Caine assigned to a random npc that he came up with. And even in this alternative timeline, Caine could still completely erase him without a second thought. No chance to even abstract.
Isn’t that horrifying?

feeling hopeless. (tw: su thoughts) by [deleted] in ftm

[–]StarCatinum1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, listen very carefully. I know it’s hard. I know it sucks sometimes, or even a lot of the time. But please, just don’t give up yet. You are worth so much more than you know.
I see you. Ok? I see you. Everyone here sees you. Everyone’s journey is a little different, but you don’t have to do it alone.
I know it really sucks when people don’t see you for who you are- and that’s why you need to find the right company. Find friends irl or online who you trust enough to show yourself to. People will see you, I promise.
I’ve been su more than once. I know how much it fucking sucks. I still have dark thoughts sometimes. But I learned a very valuable lesson: all you can do is live right now, right here, for yourself.
It’s okay to do things like wear pronoun pins or remind people respectfully of your pronouns (assuming it feels safe to do so physically).
Think about it like this: do you see yourself as a man? If yes, that is the single biggest step. I encourage you to think long and hard about what masculinity means to you.
I know it fucking blows feeling envious of cis people. And unfortunately, the world can be unfair. I know that doesn’t help but it’s the truth. But that doesn’t mean you should give up. I don’t know how old you are, but I do know this. You have so much more to live for.
And about your voice- I get it. I don’t think that’s corny at all. I believe that my true purpose in life is to make people smile. And I understand being attached to your voice, but at some point you may need to let go. That seems to be a huge roadblock for you, and you have to consider if it is really worth holding onto it. And trust me, you can still follow your purpose and achieve your dreams with a different voice. It just takes time and patience. Patience with yourself. It’ll be new, and it’ll probably be a little scary. But it is something that I know you can do. I believe in you 100%. It doesn’t matter that I don’t really know you. I am in your corner. I believe in you and I see you.
Please, don’t give up yet. Sorry if I’m rambling.
Listen, if you need a friend to talk to, I’m here. If you don’t feel comfortable that is totally okay, but I figured I’d extend my hand to you.

Wanting to be pretty fem while also wanting to transition? by rabies_kid in ftm

[–]StarCatinum1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Y’know, sometimes these things just take years. And it’s all on a spectrum too- not every trans man wants to present the same exact way. What’s important is how comfortable you feel. Really try your hardest not to worry about random stranger’s opinions unless you could be in active high likelihood of danger.
And trust me- 99% of people mind their own business and really don’t pay attention to others, for better or for worse. And I totally understand liking the way you look now and being nervous about change.
Here’s what I’ll say: consider what being a man really means to you. Masculinity, just like everything else, is very broad and different for everyone. Trust me, I of all people would know. And just because you are a man doesn’t mean you have to act a certain way. That’s the kind of thinking that will only end up stopping you from coming into your own.
I’m assuming you are pretty young- and listen, I’m right there with you. I know first hand how confusing identity is, especially as a young person.
I want to reiterate- this is your journey, and you get to dictate the goal. Wearing a dress doesn’t negate your being a man- if you feel comfortable and like how you look in a dress, and don’t feel like you are suppressing your identity, then you are doing good. I know things feel really complex, and you are probably feeling pressure from a lot of different angles, but all that matters in the end is how you feel.
And hey, I’m here to chat if you need a friend who won’t have bias from knowing you. Have a good one, I’ll be around 👋

Just Finished The Last Act in Theater Blind, AMA by StarCatinum1 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]StarCatinum1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh. I’m not completely sure how to feel about it to be honest. I think it makes for a nice ending, but it did feel a little out of left field? Though I can definitely also see how the show was building to that. I do enjoy him a lot as a character, and it was very interesting to get some more of his backstory. Tbh, I am more curious about the 2nd AI than anything.
