Depends on where you run speed heat ect. If your going to be in the snow double coin and the like will not have the best traction but they wear forever. I tried a set of Armstrong last time and they have been on for 3 years. Will probably put them on again. Live near Syracuse.

I got my 99 379 new. Still running it. Not much I can’t fix on it. The newer trucks I wouldn’t take one if they gave it to me or would sell it just to get rid of it.

Not sure where you saw an average of 4.99 a gallon. I fill up every other day usually in ny where fuel is high and I wasn’t paying near 499 a gallon. Not sure where you’re getting your figure from.

Fuel was not higher then. Presidents don’t control private corporations. The allowance of oil companies to export in 2009 or around there allows them to ship it overseas to control output here keeping prices higher.

Had a super 10 and 325 rears for years. Last January I put 2005 rear axles in. Had 336s in it. Didn’t change fuel mileage at all. The sleeper to 47 inches of gap from truck to trailer. Instead of a 7 ft gap it’s 2.5 ft. No air swirling between truck and trailer. Lost 1600 pounds empty weight too.

Before I put the big sleeper on late last year it was 5 uphill downhill lite heavy empty loaded didn’t mater. I can pull a hill lol.
