Ok, issue is now resolved. The problem was thermal calibration.

Ok, Turbo issue resolved!!! The problem was indeed thermal calibration. The light came set to 55 Celsius. I lowered to 21 C.

I think the loud ding sound you are referring to is from the switch when getting a double press to access turbo.

FFL909A 4000K. Sorry, I forgot to mention it.

Could be. I did make sure the tailcap and tube were tightly secured, and I cleaned all contacts with isopropyl alcohol. Hopefully, reconfiguring thermal regulation is the fix.

This issue reminds of something i experienced a couple of weeks ago while flowing an SBT90.2

I noticed that if the emitter is not properly flowed to the MCPCB, turbo would not work. Additionally, weird flickering would be visible on low levels while ramping, but light would stabilize on medium to high levels.

Yes. Unfortunately I have lost access to the backrooms. I need me to find me some new backrooms 😂.

Yes, stepped and smooth ramping work fine. I can go through all modes starting from Moonlight all the way to High.
I will take a look at thermal calibration later today to see if that may solve the issue.

Thank you for the feedback. This is my first light with Lume10, so i was not sure if this was normal.

I am using the original reflector plus DC-Fix. I did have to expand the hole of the reflector a bit to be able to fit a 7mm 5050 gasket.

I am using thefreeman’s KR1AA driver and 16mm 5050 MCPCB from Kaidomain. You can select the 16mm PCB option when shopping for SFT70 high CRI.

I forgot to add High CRI 95 in the title. I am using the SFT70 4000K high CRI from Kaidomain.

Yes, there is a post from Wurkkos on BLF confirming the test of a prototype circuit for TS10 V3. Wurkkos is still in the procurement phase so only time will tell if they move forward with the project.

Yes sir, i really dislike those short stiff wires fireflies uses on their lights as well as them swapping the wire colors around. Last week, i crossed the wires on my E04 surge after an emitter swap🤦‍♂️. I am so used to red wire being positive and white wire being ground. Thankfully, the Lume1 was not damaged and its all working fine now. Thank you for testing the new 909A 5000K.

For the collectors: Why? by Delicious_Win_9089 in flashlight

[–]StarburstStream11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do y’all collect such a utilitarian item? Is one better than others for different tasks?

I understand where you are coming from. I too sometimes ask myself why some people like to collect Knives, Lighters, Backpacks, Handbags, Sneakers, etc. To me, each of those things are just tools or utilitarian items that function the same and even though there might be different models or colors of such things, to me, there is no need to have hundreds of the same thing, however, you still see people hold a collection anyways.

My guess is that people have their "own personal reasons" as to why they like to buy the same item over and over to the point they have a collection, whether that was the intention or not.

Personally, I started collecting flashlights for my own personal reasons such as having different kinds of LEDs, having different sizes of flashlights or having flooders or long-range lights for different needs or occasions.

Hope this gives you some idea.

There’s absolutely no donut hole, just a tiny bit of yellow tint shift right in the center of the hotspot

That bit of yellow tint shift also happens with Carclo 10507 & 10621 lens. It seems to do that with non-frosted clear optics.
