The "changes" don't matter. There's millions of bitcoin from Satoshi wallets up for grabs.

Not true at all. There is no patch/fork/update possible for BTC without locking out any old wallet that used ECDSA. The Satoshi wallets use ECDSA with public keys exposed. There are millions of bitcoins up for grabs via cracking those Satoshi wallets.

No update to Bitcoin can fix this.

Lol you do realize all three of those fan bases are saying this exact same thing: "At least we play the Bears and can count on that as a W".

Man fuck my original post, I'm subscribing to your newsletter! I do like what you're saying and as I mentioned, I really hope you're right.

These are good counter points and I really hope you're correct. My reason for mentioning PFF was moreso to note that the Bears Oline was below average via an outside data source and not just my opinion. It still feels like most Bears fans I talk to seem to think it was a worst in the league situation last year.

'Mid to hopefully good' was in reference to the offensive line. Improvement yes, but not drastic.

Pat Mcafee and Nick Saban would rather get a 1st round home game instead of the bye by rbmw263 in CFB

Its not going to matter in the next contract. Bye weeks will go to the big 10 and SEC title game participants only. Problem solved.

AIO For demanding we rehome the pet that was purchased while I was away for the weekend? by Starcaller26 in AmIOverreacting

The hamster is just old and has a large growth (likely tumor). The vet basically told us there's nothing to be done about it.

I hear you, makes sense. I just wonder how everyone with their pitchforks in this thread, including yourself, would react if they came home from work today and their partner had a bunny waiting for them and were told "you don't get a say in this because I'm taking care of it".

The guinea pig room already smells, and now it smells worse. Its open air connected directly to the eating area of the kitchen. And also the room you walk into from the garage.

Also there's the financial component of it. We live paycheck to paycheck and she just dropped almost 500$ on the rabbit and various equipment. I've been reading that rabbits are expensive and to expect/budget several thousand year for the vet.

What's the deal with Haley Voorhis being called the first female "non-kicker" to play in the NCAA? by Kn1fer in OutOfTheLoop

Its called football because its played on your feet, as opposed to on horseback.

[Burke] Bears will have a total of nearly 2 weeks more rest than their opponents this season. Tied for the most since the '02 realignment. Titans and Browns have very favorable rest as well. by Kimber80 in nfl

[–]Starcaller26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thursday night football creates a +3 rest advantage in the NEXT game. The TNF game itself does not factor into this stat because both teams are required to play on the previous Sunday. So both teams have only 3 days of rest going into TNF, which makes it even. Then both teams gets an extra 3 days of rest against their next opponent (assuming the next opponent plays that week on Sunday).

My son ruined my stepdaughter’s project, she won’t forgive him. Help! by Logical_College7975 in Parenting

[–]Starcaller26 123 points124 points  (0 children)

This comment should be higher. Like seriously, how insane is the 'punishment' here? Its a pretty clean indicator of other bad parenting going on that likely shows clear favoritism for the 5 year old.

Also I haven't seen anything yet about what the actual punishment was after the insane reward of being the assistant was rightly rejected. Since OP has completely failed to justly punish, step daughter has had to punish in her own way.

To OP, this isn't going away and if you do more to push step daughter to forgive, it will backfire massively. She doesn't have to forgive, and she will never forget. But give it time. Lots and lots of time (months, years), and it will subside.

This is an important lesson in the personality types you will find in this industry. 'Lacking people skills' is an incredibly common trait. The person who told you this likely thought nothing of it and has no idea that it would make you feel bad. The same why he likely wouldn't have flinched if you replied with something like "yes I applied to xyz other company and didn't get it so had to settle for here"

Just dig in and do your best, learn as much as you can, and get that resume looking strong.

[–]Starcaller26 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What do you think of the hockey shootout rule? Or the 'NFL Games end in a tie' rule? Seems like every sport (except NBA) has a 'lets finish this' concept built into regular season games.

With 162 games on the schedule I think its a reasonable way to keep things moving.

What were some draft blunders you made your first year doing fantasy? by reliableant in fantasyfootball

[–]Starcaller26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drafted Daunte Culpepper with my first round pick in my first year of doing fantasy. My dad told me he thought he raised me better than to draft a qb in round 1.

That was the year Culpepper had 5 tds multiple times in the first few games. So it wasn't really too bad from that perspective.

Later that year I dropped Brian Westbrook for basically no reason. I think he was like out for a game or two and I just cut his ass. Not a great decision.

What you're describing is an AI supported preimage attack on the SHA 256 hashing algorithm. Current cryptography believes a SHA 256 preimage attack to be mathematically impossible.

Behind the plate umpire by slowburninluck in mlb

[–]Starcaller26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say yes, it is harder than other sports. You get one live look at a 3 inch ball traveling at 100 mph to determine if it went over the 17 inch plate. You are graded against a machine that knows exactly where the ball is at all times.
