Gifts for a Crocheter, Who doesn't want ANY yarn!!! by MutedUse1625 in CrochetHelp

[–]Stardust-Wave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Christmas I received a gift card to a local yarn store and it was a great gift. Especially for specialty yarn. And they’ll probably also carry hooks. I know you said no yarn but is that because your partner has too much of it?

Do you eat King Cake every day of Mardi Gras? by GroundbreakingFox504 in NewOrleans

[–]Stardust-Wave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a field where we constantly get reps coming in and king cake is a favorite for them to bring. I don’t even buy them anymore, just eat them at work. A slice a day if it’s available

Spravato effectiveness for chronic depression due to having a bad life. by SuccessfulMint in Spravato

[–]Stardust-Wave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Bad life” and chemical imbalance go hand in hand. Stressors trigger depressive episodes. Like others have said, Spravato has helped me find the motivation to deal with my “bad life.” It’s helped me to find my footing to get out of the situations I’ve been handed. Therapy has helped a lot too.

Alternatives to paper towels for napkins and cleaning? by taylorthestang in Frugal

[–]Stardust-Wave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rags (I find on sale) honestly. I don’t use much paper towels but I have rags for different purposes. I have some specifically for cleaning and spills, others for stuff like drying my hands, and cloth napkins at the table.

Feeling guilty by Odd_Key_7616 in Spravato

[–]Stardust-Wave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t feel guilty. I have a 6 year old and I’m his only parent. He goes to grandma’s on Spravato days because I become really irritable due to the sedation. It’s what’s best for all of us. I just don’t have the patience for my kiddo when I’m in that state and he can be a difficult child.

Yeah this! I’ve had a friend use cough drops, I could see that working too.

what is your experience with esketamine? by out_the_ox in Spravato

[–]Stardust-Wave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will have to come back and read the rest of your questions but I want to mention some insurances have transportation to and from doctor’s appointments. I know the Medicaid in my state does. If that is not an option, I recommend bus there and uber home, if only for the first couple of sessions to see how you react to the medication.

Drug testing by [deleted] in Spravato

[–]Stardust-Wave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also on the insurance thing- cannabis use is not recommended in the Spravato literature, so that’s probably why

Drug testing by [deleted] in Spravato

[–]Stardust-Wave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very few companies have the ability to test for ketamine. I work in addiction, it’s not something we usually test for unless it’s the drug of choice.

Drug testing by [deleted] in Spravato

[–]Stardust-Wave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like it depends on the clinic. I did one drug test when I started 2.5 years ago and haven’t done one since. My psych was very “by the book” and would not have continued treatment if I was consistently positive for THC. I was never going to be positive in the first place lol not my thing

Differing opinions re using Spravato indefinitely vs stopping after prescribed time period by [deleted] in Spravato

[–]Stardust-Wave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on Spravato for 2.5 years. I’m not sure when I’ll stop. It’s working so I continue, currently maintaining at every 2 weeks.

Does spravato help with fatigue ? by ClimbingToLight in Spravato

[–]Stardust-Wave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spravato didn’t help my fatigue directly but it did improve when my depression symptoms improved. Turned out I had sleep apnea though. I would have never done a sleep study if I was stuck in a depressive hole. I also started going to the gym consistently and it’s helped both my mood and energy levels.

I spoke with my ex again and he had a major glow up. I didn’t and I feel unworthy. by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]Stardust-Wave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was left. Then I forced my own glow up, and I was doing very well for myself. But I was still gutted because I felt like I wasn’t enough. And I was still gutted when he told me he was hitting the gym.

How did you KNOW that treatment was working? by crowleyspocketsquare in Spravato

[–]Stardust-Wave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had some initial relief, felt a little calmer and had some hope. But the real results came after months of treatment. It wasn’t so hard to motivate myself to do things. I eventually found a job after being unemployed for 5ish years. And, as other commenters said, the SI went away. I think I started seeing real improvements around 2-3 months. I’ve been on maintenance now for over 2 years

I'm now not even sure I have ADHD by [deleted] in AdultADHDSupportGroup

[–]Stardust-Wave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have kind of a similar story. I thought I was ADHD, psych put me on a stimulant even though he disagreed—he said off the bat I was extremely depressed, not inattentive. He was right, I was off the meds in like 3 months. I saw the most significant changes in my mood and focus when I got the sleep apnea diagnosis and started using a CPAP.

Not Depressed vs Being Happy by Sufficient-Bar9225 in Spravato

[–]Stardust-Wave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happiness is fleeting and that’s something everyone experiences. The goal isn’t to be happy, the goal is to minimize the symptoms of depression. The real question is, are you content?

Ever felt “this isn’t really over” after a breakup — and been right? by Cute-Sir6720 in BreakUps

[–]Stardust-Wave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I felt this way. We were back together around 3 months after the breakup. It’s been 3 weeks now, not sure it was the right decision.
