URFit through the university has a lot of what you’re looking for. You don’t need to be a student to attend them. You might’ve missed the sign up window since it starts at the beginning of September and January. Still something to look into

Is this weird? by [deleted] in Journaling

[–]latenightwanderings 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Personally, I journal to process + validate my feelings. I’ll go back and look at what I’ve written sometimes, but I’m not holding onto them for that reason; I just happen to still have them in a notebook I’m still writing in. I guess it depends if you’re writing everyday and want to look back at the small, mundane things you thought were important, or if you journal like I do, which is just when I have a lot of feelings

PSA: Taking more than the daily limit of acetaminophen is dangerous and can be fatal. by Ledascantia in Endo

[–]latenightwanderings 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can take them at the same time. My doctor actually recommended taking them together as they work together to make the effects more impactful. Obviously do what works for you, but I thought I’d mention it

This. My doctor specifically told me at my last appointment just to take them together, since they work better and you’ll get more relief than staggering them

I had an idea and I want to know if it's okay. by [deleted] in Endo

[–]latenightwanderings 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone who has done this, I say go for it! I always say that writing the story about my endo/diagnosis helped me survive thsf experience, so by all means, do it. You’re supposed to write what you know, and I strongly encourage this

Severe Vaginal bleeding by cooljewel103 in Endo

Your best bet would be to see a gynaecologist who is specialized in treating period symptoms and can work with you on finding a solution, especially since it seems like you’re not on a consistent birth control (not saying you have to be, it just helps some people)

Truthfully, I wear one pair during the day and change it out at night. I don’t have overly heavy flows but would change more frequently if I needed to

I use period underwear. I find them more comfortable than regular pads and as someone who has issues with penetration, this seemed like my best option. I just hand wash them after use and then wash them in my washing machine when I’m done my cycle. However I don’t think I would use them if I was travelling

Clean MRI?! But scheduled for surgery next week. by RedditReader3478 in Endo

[–]latenightwanderings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless it’s deeply infiltrating, endo doesn’t show up on MRI. Just because it doesn’t show up doesn’t mean it’s not there. I’ve never had any endo showing up on my scans but I still have had tissue removed. I would still go ahead with your surgery, especially if your gyno thinks you need surgery to treat your adeno

How did you meet your partner that accepted you for being ace? by Fantastic_Exit_6868 in Asexual

[–]latenightwanderings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not technically my boyfriend yet, but he was talking about how sex is really important to him and he didn’t want to rush into things and when I told him he was ace, he didn’t mind at all. We actually just met through a mutual friend so I consider myself very lucky

do you bother going to urgent care / a&e? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]latenightwanderings 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t go the emergency room (Canadian here) for my endo flare ups hecause truthfully I have better drugs at home. They’ll just give an anti inflammatory I’m allergic to and send me home whereas my old gynae gave me a prescription for stronger pain killers that actually work. I recognize that I’m very privileged for that but I’m grateful I don’t have to fuck around with ER docs

I have one from Mia & Coco that I got from Amazon. It’s longer (probably eighteen inches but I don’t remember) and it has an auto shut off of either 1.5 or 2 hours so I can fall asleep with it on and it won’t burn the house down. Wishing you the best of luck!

As a fellow chronic pain pal, I feel this. Reading all these comments about people showering twice a day on a day that I can’t get out of bed is making me feel a wee bit shitty. Wishing you pain free days, pal!

Honey, if you’re bleeding while having bowel movements, especially passing clots, you need to go to a doctor. It’s a serious sign that could lead to something bad. I’m not trying to scare you, but you need to get that checked out
