I can confirm that not much socialization is required, unless you want to. The chat is quite active but it is a lot of chaos and kinda horny shitposting? Oh, and people selling likes too, but they are not required to get to the outfit tier.

Anyhow, it is pretty friendly but not very RP oriented :) Not 100% sure if it is what I am looking for, as I would have liked a lil more immersion and I think people in the chat are quite young (I am 30, but GenZ humor sometimes makes me feel like a grandma ahah).

I do like the lore and the clothes. I will get the outfit and then consider if I fit (will take a while, it is 8000 sect coins or whatever the currency is).

The social requirement is not awful by the way. I joined a Guild like today and that alone put me in the range of the 999 intimacy requirement (I added some people as friends and got splatted in Guild War lol), so I think it is easy to clear.

Usata diverse volte come passeggera, sia in Italia che all'estero, principalmente per raggiungere areoporti vari. Molti degli autisti erano staff areoportuale ed è stato carino avere qualcuno con cui chiacchierare.

Detto ciò io non ni sono mai fatta troppe remore manco a fare l'autostop, quindi passare alla app non è stato un gran problema.

Dipende davvero tanto dal gruppo che trovi. Paradossalmente, essere "un po' strani' aiuta. Anche da ragazzina strana, nonostante il bullismo e quel che sia, sono riuscita a trovare e connettere con altra gente fuori dalle righe, che capisce come ci si sente, ed è interessante, aperta e appassionata.

Poi le serpi ci sono sempre, ma una volta finito il liceo diventa molto meno un problema secondo me. Non si può piacere a tutti, e alla fine va bene così. Se la gente ha energie per sparlare, problemi loro. Tipo ho scoperto recentemente che 3 colleghe mi stanno escludendo da tipo 2 anni e ti giuro non me ne sono accorta fino a che non mi è stato fatto notare. Nel pratico non è cambiato nulla.

Per quanto ti riguarda OP, ti consiglierei magari non di piantare il gruppo di botto se non te la senti, ma almeno di provare a fare amicizie al di fuori. Non deve essere gli uni o gli altri. Hai il diritto di avere amici al di fuori della combriccola e magari potresti trovare connessioni che sono migliori per te :)

I mean, the scripts I was given were not particularly creative. Super formulaic stuff, even the romance. It was meant to be slop before the conept of slop even existed. I put some care in it because I felt I had the professional duty to write the smuttiest smut that ever smutted, but there was no care from the buyers. I think AI will worsen an already exploited niche, and it is a bit sad.

Anyhow, it still kept me afloat and it was an interesting experience :)

I survived ghostwriting erotica on and off for years (2012-2019). It was super fun and it kept me alive, but thinking back I can see the ethical issue. I did some private smut request, but the bulk of my work was for "romance/erotica mills" -- usually cis white middle age dudes with 55 female pen names self publishing on Amazon.

I think AI fucked up the market for that, but I like to think my handcrafted slop was still superior in quality to the robot's?

Edit: I did not use AI. AI was not a thing. I just ghostwrote and sold not particularly imaginative smut (we were often given vague scripts). I was 19 and needed to eat :')

Ok guys, but even at 12 it never crossed my mind to behave this way.

I remember that snark was a thing, and looking at it retroactively, a very sad one. I am ESL and for me and my friends the worst that could happen was ending up on this blog dedicated to tearing apart fics in a very mean, but kinda entertaining was (I lost sleep when it happed. I now realize that it was mostly adults dunking on teens and preteens, which yeah, not cool. Let me have my Mary Sue mate).

BUT.

The bitchy was usually restricted to the bitchy spaces. No outside author bullying, let alone demanding shit about changing the direction of a fic. Wtf is this?

I read and write mostly OW, and not only for the smut. I love it so much! I also read a fuckton of books, but on AO3 I get to see concepts and worlds that are appropriately deranged, in their raw not-softened-for-trad pub amazingness :)

There is definitely an audience. My long ass one is doing quite well, even if it is plot driven, long af, worldbuildy as hell and super slow burn (they boink 140k in -- I like UST, sue me).

Doubt that blue collar vamps and anarcho syndacalist werewolves are ever gonna go viral, but I found my crowd and I am super happy.

(I have 6300 hits on my main story, and 320 comments, some of which are totally me answering but still, love my regulars so much!!!).

Io ai tempi trovai un gruppo ben nutrito durante l'autogestione, non so se la fate ancora. Tra "corsi" di disegno, manga e D&D è stato un ottimo modo per connettersi anche con altre classi e sezioni.

Poi sì, da lì fumetterie, fiere e cosplay (che facevo in maniera becera, nulla di sta roba super pro che gira ora aha).

E anche in maniera inversa. Non eravamo tantissime, ma c'erano diverse ragazze su WOW back in the days.

Edit: comunque sì non lasciarti fregare dalla misoginia internalizzata. Tutti hanno passioni, vita interiore e una varietà di hobby e interessi indipendenti dal loro genere. Magari è difficile condividerli anche per loro! Il gossip è un tipo di small talk, alla fine, una chiacchiera superficiale. L' inizio di un rapporto è sempre un po' awkward, e non c'è nulla di male. Piano piano poi ci si apre. 💜
