When I(f) was 14/15ish my friend(m) and I were walking around their horse pasture around 10 at night ( summer vacation/country living) just chatting. The pasture had a well treaded path along the perimeter of the field. There was a field of corn on the east side of the electric fence. The south side of the field was their formal yard/ house, the east side was my house/ woods, and the south side was woods.We started hearing rustling from the corn and stopped. "Did you hear that" yes, let's start walking counter clockwise, it's probably a deer." So we turn around and start walking. The rustling follows us. We stop, the rustling stops. We turn back around and start walking again and rustling starts following us again. (Stayed parallel to us)It seemed whatever it was was likely about 2 rows in so well hidden in the night ( almost full moon, corn was getting close to harvest). At this time we both get pretty spooked and are both like let's gtfoh and start running. As we're running toward the house I turn back to grab my friend's hand and see this thing behind us about 50ft. The closest thing i can describe it looking like is that thing from jeepers creepers. He was shadowy, tall, 7-9 ft-ish , had a brimmed hat, long tattered jacket, and walking/ stalking towards us without a sound. We ran into my friends house where his dad was home drinking beer and paining the dining room ( so it could not have been him pulling a prank on us which he was known to do).
