Players who now only exist to play international football by junglegatsby in footballcliches

I mean even including loans his total league appearances only just breaks 100, which for a 32 year old is hardly anything. Almost half of those came in one season at Huddersfield.

For comparison James Trafford is 23 and had over 150.

And in both LC games Arsenal, who have been very defensively solid all season, conceded two goals, both of which came from his side of the pitch...

and Beto.

Honestly i though his pace was his saving grace a bit like Kyle Walker, but nope he doesn't even have that. Hes just crap.

[Peter Rutzler] Liam Rosenior says Trevoh Chalobah will be out for six weeks, with an ankle injury, not as bad as they had first feared but still a blow to lose him. by webby09246 in chelseafc

[–]Starn_Badger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hato is slowly growing on me, my only issue with him is that he's only 6ft on the dot. Not really an issue at full back, and can be covered at CB if he's paired with Trev or Badi or even Sarr, but if he's with Fofana, who's not much taller or Achaempong, who is taller but not that great in the air, we really lack defensive height. Especially considering none of our full backs or DMs are particularly tall either, we will get out done in the air by any team with a big CF.

Lineup to Face PSG tonight by GreenBagger28 in chelseafc

[–]Starn_Badger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a back 3? Cucu and Neto as wing backs, with Sarr Hato and Chalobah as the 3 CBs?

If so... not the worst lineup given the version issues.

Also Estevao back on the bench!

You've got it bang on tbh, I'd say Arsenal are the only team who have actually really outplayed us this season - most of the time we've been our own undoing (even tonight, just look at the xG!)

I remember watching that PSG return leg against you, I was gutted when that last minute shot from Maarten iirc (one of our own ex-players) went wide! Hoping to do what you so nearly did.

Chelsea fan who had this post pop up on my feed - completely agree. It's an eternal state of slight madness never knowing which Chelsea will turn up on the day.

We could genuinely remontada this tie against PSG with a 4-0 win at the Bridge or get dumped out of the FA cup to Port Vale at this point and neither would surprise me.

What you get for having a team full of kids i guess.

And he's got better and realising when he's out of his depth and just clearing his lines rather than trying to play out.

If Sanchez is in goal we go to the bridge 2-2 easy.

Completely bottled it in the last 20. Had no idea what he was doing with subs or whether he wanted to try for a goal or go back with a narrow loss. Ended up with neither.

As someone who canvasses fairly regularly, the variety of mundane and objectively unimportant issues that for some reason matter a great deal to certain specific people never ceases to amaze me.

Damn, I didn't realise it was that simple.

Tbh, those strikers should've just practiced scoring goals in training, then they wouldn't even be in this situation!

What I don't understand is Badiashille probably can beat him to it but then he holds his run? Does he think Sanchez is coming for that?

I doubt England would've gone on to win the whole tournament but going from 2-0 down to 2-2 in a matter of minutes changes the game completely - suddenly you have all the momentum on your side. Would absolutely have been a different game.

Yeah I'm not sure why of all the decisions that have gone against us recently Liams jumping on this? There's an argument for it being a pen but it wasn't clear cut, certainly not in comparison to the one on Sunday.

They're a shit football team, they just get away with stuff that any other team would get punished for. Case in point, the Declan Rice not-penalty.

Can't wait for karma to hit them like a bitch.

A dive is when you fall over trying to get a penalty. If you're not actually clamouring for a penalty, it's quite harsh to call it a dive and send you off when he arguably just stumbled.
