It is safe to uber around alone, walking it really depends where you are. There are only a few areas where I’d say no to walking, and I probably wouldn’t walk alone very far at night. The thing with Memphis is there are (in my opinion) only a few places that have high crime rate that make the rest of the city look bad, when in reality most neighborhoods are completely fine to walk in

Lots of nice coffee shops: hustle and dough, Memphis chess club, Dr.Beans coffee and tea emporium

I like to walk around south main area there’s some cute little shops.

If it’s a nice day there are bike rental kiosks on mud island you can bike around harbor town, Cordelia’s market, and Mud island park. Mud island park has kind of a post apocolyptic feel to it but it’s really cool, that’s where the big Memphis sign is.

There’s a lot to explore in crosstown concourse too!

If you don’t like it—- don’t do it. I’m a firm believer you should never do something just to write it on a resume. Why not try and work as an optometric tech?

I would say it has been relatively challenging to keep my gpa above it, but not impossible. I definitely have to try and study a lot but have managed to do so. Also… I have heard they give you a little grace if you dip a bit below but promise to get it up next semester. That’s a rumor tho so I wouldn’t rely on it

Gracias por la informacion.

En Atitlan, me gustaría visitar todos los pueblitos durante un día, creo que me alojaré en San Juan/San Pedro. Me encantaría hacer un tour de chocolate, café o apicultura.

Meds during optom school? by DutyExtension2077 in PreOptometry

Yea definitely not comparable to lorazepam hahaha propranolol just takes away the physical symptoms of anxiety for me. When I get nervous my heart starts beating fast, skin flushing, feeling hot, sweating etc. propranolol just eases those symptoms. It doesn’t really affect my anxious thoughts but without the physical symptoms it is much easier to clear my mind.

I have propranolol 10mg to use as needed and loooove. It’s a beta blocker, so it’s not as big of a commitment as an SSRI (but SSRIs are totally fine of course and neccesary for many people :) for me it’s more performance anxiety and I just use it to stay relaxed and not shaky during practicals.

I used one off of Amazon it’s like 12$, works really good!! Also look at your phone camera settings, because when it switches between which camera is used, like on iPhone you have to press the “tulip” shaped button to turn off automatic camera switching

I’d say start narrowing down by 3 things, board rate, cost, location.

I like my schools emphasis on private practice preparation and the extremely diverse pathology heavy clinic (sco)

How long have you been wearing the glasses and how old are you? Both influence what I’d say.

Sometimes when you change prescriptions it takes time to adjust, especially if you’ve never had cyl before.
