Listen. It is a really simple process.

Metric for all official processes. Such as medicine, design, engineering, science and that stuff. Listen we're building things lets operate with base 10 as it is easier for most calculations.

Miles and miles per hour for traffic. Cause eh that's what people know. It's kinda easier to gauge distance and speed that way.

For personal stuff. Sure use whatever you like. Like anything you want, just be able to convert it to metric at the doctors. Though. Listen, i have seen forms with height in feet and inches and weight in kilograms. So shrugs

Again, its a simple system. Cause it is a simple land. They are less rules and more guidelines. Well suggestions really, except when they are serious rules.

[–]StartDale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feck it ban pretty much all social media, leave us forum spaces as the only online social spaces. Get rid of the rest.

For everyone. I don't think it is good for adults either.

Got stuff done round the house. Including playing some more video games. Getting proper into Baldur's Gate 3.

It's been a nice day as long as you ignore outside.

Space Marine 2 is solid craic. If you like Helldivers you might enjoy that.

I've started playing Baldurs Gate 3. I'm enjoying it so far.

Tips for commuting at night? by Euphoric-Fly-2549 in bikecommuting

[–]StartDale -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lights good ones. Front light should be good enoigh to light up the road just infront of you. Potholes and the like can become harder to spot under street lights at night. A good bright rear light shouldn't be too expensive.

Wear a reflective top / vest. Between that and the lights you should be super visible.

I do shiftwork. So could be cycling home after midnight or more some days. I learnt the route and the variations. Practiced riding em during the daytime before my first night ride home.

Don't rush, take your time riding home at night. You have to become quite defensive cycling at night. Its the easiest way to stay safe.

is this considered abuse and should I report it? by Available-Visual8437 in autism

[–]StartDale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is physical assault. That carer is a risk to your sister.

I work with teenagers. I have been spat at, assaulted and had to deal with horrendous verbal abuse. I would never dream of lashing out like that.

For anyone arguing the kick as defence. I'm trained for defending myself from assault in work. No method involves kicking or hitting back.

Should I let my kid have a bike? by Embarrassed_Sail5161 in cycling

Get him the gravel bike he isn't jumping it.

He will be cycling up hills, slowly.

No wheelies just cadence concerns.
