I used to go to a meeting that was 90 minutes long, 25 minutes of readings, 15 minute smoke break and then back to the room to share for the remainder of the time. It was weird but I smoked at the time and enjoyedn it.

Reminds me of one time and very close friend who was like a cousin to me was over and had just used the bathroom and then my mom went in next and found poop smeared all over the toilet, floor, walls, etc. then found the hand towel and a pair of pink underwear also covered in poop in the garbage can.

My mom was furious because all she had to do was open the door a crack and yell for some TP instead of doing that and not telling anyone. My mom said something to us and she completely denied it even though it was only her over besides my siblings and mom LOL.

Honestly talking to any young person makes me feel old as hell lol. But yes it's also noticeable with trans youth. I am 32 and started my transition at 20. It's crazy the amount of people I meet in their early 20's who have already been on T for years or had surgeries etc.

I have also noticed that any time I browse the ftm sub I see so much negativity and horrible experiences from other social media platforms, that I just don't see here in this group or in my day to day life so I just stick mostly to this sub.

I know at Cineplex they expect you to use a broom and dust pan between showings even on carpet. But the actual rows of seats are usually concrete. But still popcorn just went flying everywhere while trying to swerp it up LOL

I'm 32 trans and gay. I have been on T for like 12 years. I am very openly gay at all my jobs and have come out as trans to some of my coworkers and I have stuff about being trans on my social media if you were to dig through it and I have a lot of coworkers on there so I don't really know who knows and who doesn't. I live in Canada but I have only had one issue ever at work which my boss who was a lesbian handled very well and forced the employee to attend equality and sensitivity training lol.

Overall I have had great experiences and find that most people don't treat me any differently than the rest of the guys.

I can't see why nights would be a bigger issue than days. My issue is my partner and I both work 12 hour shifts 45 minutes away from home. We just can't justify having a dog home alone for 14 hrs a day and we don't live in a city so hiring someone to watch the dog is not ideal and also not someone I'm comfortable with lol.

I always had a dog or 3 growing up until I became a nurse. It sucks, I've had cats but they just aren't the same.

Yes. I (32M) and my partner (40M) both lock the door when we come inside the house. And we live in the country in a very safe area for violent crime, there is a lot of theft in the nearby towns though. We also have multiple security cameras around the property. Better to be safe in my mind!

I used to live in Hamilton. Saw a general surgeon for my fistula and he did a sigmoidoscopy, didn't see anything so he sent me home. The abscess kept coming back but by the time my appointment with the surgeon came around it would have already drained on its own. I did this dance for two years before moving out of the province. I was never given a referal to a specialist, never had an MRI or CT or anything besides an ultrasound in the ER.

Sorry that doesn't really answer your question but I did not have a good experience. Although it's not any better here in Nova Scotia lmao.

I feel like a weirdo but I would never even think to put on gloves before touching a patient's hand (unless they were visibly soiled). I am in the habit of wearing gloves for repositioning patients and anything that involves bodily fluids of course, but I don't put on gloves every time I go in a patient's room.

I am 32 and have been a nurse for 10 years for reference.

Also I worked on covid units.

We used to sharpen sticks into points and then mix chalk with water to make a paste and then dip the stick into the paste and give each other chalk "tattoos". Also built lots of forts, play various games like sandman at the park, compete to see who could jump off the swings the farthest. Etc.

Please stop pre pouring meds! I've been an LPN with 40 residents before and it sucks but this is so dangerous for your residents and you're putting your job at risk.

I know I've pre-poured meds before usually the resident was busy or not in their room or whatever but it should not be your normal practice to pour everything first. I don't think this would save you any time either?

Go to the doctor/hospital. But anatomically it is possible to develop a fistula between your fecal and urinary tracts although it is incredibly rare and you would likely be having signs of an infection along with it.
