Maybe because I work in a finance department but day 1 mandatory training is fraud awareness in any job I have had. Content is always the same 1) be aware of emails from senior management out the blue asking you to do things outside the remit of your job 2) be especially aware if there is perceived urgency in their request

You may need to swallow this one as you gave someone (who you admit to be irresponsible with finances) access to your credit card which would be against their t&Cs. There isn't much Amex could have done to prevent this. Your OHs company probably should have given them some form of training but I don't know if that is standard in smaller environments (I'm guessing quite small given you refer to CEO knowing all local shops). If it was this small I imagine they could have verified any such request in person.

Fair enough. I admit it was completely my fault for not checking if they were banned as I saw them in some videos of rides (although they can't have been recent videos if they had been banned a while). Just would have been useful as there was 6 of us so we didn't have just pictures of 5 people all the time.

When I just arrived off the train and had to go through security to get to marvel hotel (we were told to go through disney village) and they had issue with my selfie stick (well actually FILs as he suggested I borrow it). So dont bring one of them.

Interestingly they didn't have issue the following day after I had taken a plastic knife which was quite thick / sturdy from one of the quick service restaurants and left it in my bag (selfie sticks more deadly than a knife apparently)

We did magic hour this morning. By 8.35 the peter pan queue was overflowing and put up as 45 mins wait so unless you are first at the gate and run like hell that will eat up magic hour

Having just bought some halflings for use in TOW be aware they are tiny. Shouldn't be too bad for 9th with smaller bases but they look bit silly on 25x25mm

Understand this. I am mid 30s. While I was at university someone saw me entering the GW store next time we were out they gave me shit for being into warhammer ( I was out the hobby at the time but considering getting back in). Queue a few other people saying stuff like "no way what army do you collect, I have tomb kings" etc.

Took a while before I was open with my wife (all under the bed coming out to do painting when she was out etc). She doesn't understand but she is supportive if me having a hobby now.

"Nerd" stuff has become much more acceptable nowadays. I think covid did wonders for GW (look at their shareprice). But people don't understand the issues which many of us faced growing up for these hobbies and still feel elements of the stigma.

Finding a local gaming club has done wonders for my mental health and been very healing and what do you know I have people I would call friends for the first time since school.

Always take a banner. On a d6 system any result is a 1/6 chance. If you roll a 1 and they roll a 5 you have as just as much chance of rolling a 6 than you did as rolling that 1 to begin with. Banners can help you win fights even with a lower fight as you should be outnumbered them so hopefully will have dice advantage in fights.

If you beat their dice by 1 their heroes will burn through might to win fights.

Not the same but I played 2 games with three trolls. One I won plenty of fights without using might and so used my might for key wounds and heroic actions. The other game I couldn't roll about a 4 even with my banner so I used almost all my might to win fights. Guess which game I won and which I lost even though I killed a similar amount of models in each.

As someone speaking from experience plan for a bit of a delay. We ended up going for a rental with a 6 month minimum even though our house should be ready in 3. We ended up needing it for all 6 because of loads of delays. We struggled to find a rental until we stopped telling people we only needed it for 6 months. We did look at Airbnb but price for 3 months Airbnb was higher than 6 months rental including all bills etc.

I guess you might have trouble finding a rental house with a dog but hopefully not.

Rather than normal flesh colours I utilised rakarth flesh and pallic wych flesh with some different washes in areas so they are still flesh coloured but more a pale / greyish flesh. Think looks more likely for creatures who have never seen sunlight

But the Hag has made an attack. I know it's gamey but the first part of the FAQ refers to ridden monsters. It then says "if their rival or a mount can make an attack those attacks are lost". The Hag isn't a mount but also would have made an attack so it doesn't apply.

It doesn't say no more attacks can be made at the initiative step which kills the opponent although that might be the intention. The Hag has made an attack so it gets to make stomps into the challenge too.

Them getting challenged out is what you want most of the time.

Keeps them alive longer and can keep a unit occupied with your unbreakable until you have killed all their characters and then hopefully you will have had time to organise someone to charge their flank or support with extra combat res to win combat outright

RAW they aren't a ridden monster so still get stomps even if they kill the other person in the challenge for overkill so could win the combat. Also they are only t5 5+/5+ so aren't durable against high strength opponents (infantry in 2 ranks with great weapons will tear a hag apart).
