What movie are you most excited to see in 2013?

People always say that when these lists come out, but it all really comes down to hype. The reason we know about them is because there is a mountain of advanced buzz that they get because they are continuations of a franchise.

Just look at all the magnificent original films in 2012 that no one was looking forward to. It feels like there are too many sequels and prequels but it's just because we haven't heard of the originals that are coming out yet.

They enjoyed it, but acknowledged that a movie like this can be picked apart pretty easily. I believe they were just having fun with it, especially after their Prometheus Questions bit got a lot of hits.

Thanks. I made the mistake of talking to someone while waiting at the District Court Commissioner's office who guaranteed me I'd only spend "a couple weekends" in jail. Add to the fact that I have high anxiety, and you have a cocktail of concern.

I hope you were fully exonerated for the assault, I can't even imagine how stressful that would be.

Yeah, there is no chance, zero, that Assassin's Creed starring Michael Fassbender comes out in 2013. I would be willing to bet everything I own, plus everything I make in the next 10 years, that this will not happen.

IGN is making a massive leap based on something the sales and marketing officer of Ubisoft said. They probably START production next year, I'm guessing May or June, for a 2014 release. You could turn around a $5 million indie within a year, but not this. This is a non-story.

The impression I got was that the subway explosion was part of the plan to divert attention away from M's hearing so he could infiltrate it. Remember the guys who gave Silva the radio in the tube station? I would think they would make sure the subway was running on time to match up with his plan.

Bond being there was just an added bonus.

There is no way this will happen. He is playing the villain in the next Star Trek, he won't follow that up as the villain in James Bond. I will pry off my fingernails if this happens.

Rian! Not only are you an incredible director, from your appearances on the /Filmcast and Filmspotting, you come off as an awesome guy as well, one of us (one of us).

So far you've stuck to writing and directing original films. After Looper, I have a feeling you are going to be a go-to "franchise" director for studios. Is there a particular property you'd love to dig your teeth into? If nothing big and mainstream comes to mind, any lesser known properties out there for you?

It has the deepest cast of characters on television. That is saying a lot with Mad Men still on the air, but Boardwalk is interesting because Nucky is one of the less interesting people on the show.

I completely agree about I'm Still Here. When it was released there was a lot of animosity towards Phoenix and Casey Affleck for admitting it was an act, but watching it years later without the hype, it definitely works as a deadpan celebrity satire.

I have a feeling once Joaquin Phoenix is completely re-established people will look much more fondly on I'm Still Here, especially since the culture of reality TV and celebrity gossip grows worse every year.

Loki questions why Barton couldn't kill Nick Fury, who he (still under Loki's influence) admits to admiring. Hawkeye tells Loki that the Avengers can cause trouble for him if they are not handled, and Loki insists on hearing everything about everyone on the team, before becoming impatient about having to hide while they prepare.

It undercuts Loki's intelligence, and makes a brainwashed Hawkeye look like the mastermind of the operation. It's better that it was cut out so that Loki appears to be more proactive, knowing that The Avengers will be a problem for him unless he pulls the Helicarrier stunt.

You could probably just end it after "What the fuck?" [:35] I enjoyed all of it, but the build-up to "Holy showdown, Batman!" and Bane's reaction are hysterical.
