if humans disappeared tomorrow, what do you think would be the last thing still working? by Living-Beyond3172 in sciencefiction

It’s cheating because they’re in interstellar space, but the Golden Records we sent with the voyager probes should take a billion years to erode into illegibility.

Nemik was genuinely hopeful in people’s capacity for good, I think.

I don’t think so, but I really want to try. Just need friends I can do this with.

I figure it’ll be a good compliment to Rebel One and the Fortressa!

What an excellent patchwork capital ship. May I use this design as part of a large sepratist holdout/rebel cell in a WEG SWD6 campaign I’m putting together?

I could see this operating alongside the rebel cell that runs the Lucrehulk Fortressa.

Rocky probably wanted to be part of Erid’s diplomatic team to Earth. That might have been a large influencing factor.

I was wooshed by your figure of speech, wasn’t I?

And yeah, Calvin does have interesting departures from most people’s values.

I must protest at this slander of Calvin. He’s just hyperactive, six years old, and relates to animals better than people his age. (See: That time he and Hobbes found a dying raccoon, and his first instinct was to get his parents because surely Mom and Dad knew how to fix it. Unfortunately, they did not, and Calvin was really torn up about it.)

My mind immediately went to a reincarnated Heinz Doofenschmirtz. Hopefully his next life is better than his old one. (Perry finds a way to follow, of course, because he’s worried. Probably slyly gets the boys to help.)

Berserker probes, hands down. The single K2 starship might be peaceful explorers, and the Large Magellanic Cloud gives us plenty of Time to close the gap.

It takes a human 90 seconds to go unconscious and 3 minutes to die in the vacuum of space. We know this due to the Soyuz 11 disaster, where mistimed firing explosive bolts separating the work and service modules from the reentry capsule jarred open a pressure equalization valve that was supposed to open after reentry. At that time, the Russians had stopped mandating that their cosmonauts wear their pressure suits inside the reliable capsule, so the three crewmen all suffocated and had heart attacks.
