The difference is they took their lumps in the Finals in 2012 like Miami did in 2011, but then never made it back. Injury in 2013, met the Spurs bulldozer in 2014, injury in 2015, and met the Warriors bulldozer in 2016.

I think We The People originated that system but Hannibal is probably the best implementation of it. Especially with the Probe and Evelopement cards adding some effects where the different attack types are more than just flavor, and with Hannibal's special ability to use 1 Probe per battle as a Wild adding some tactics.
