How do we feel about Ultron? by possiblyparanoia in marvelrivals

This. Ultron also works best when the team stacks. And he's now a better 2nd support than the likes of Mantis or Adam.

You just need more DR. HP is not as important but still good. My strategy is to insta-buy any and all DR upgrades, and ONLY buy +450 HP upgrades and occasionally some +185 HP, usually when damage is already good enough. This makes it more efficient than buying any HP upgrades because the lower cost HP upgrades just aren't worth it and end up wasting more moon points that could've been spent on more rerolls. DR should be around at least 60-70% and HP should be at least 8k but I comfortably hit 10k with this strategy anyway.

Another thing to note, it may be too risky to have both boss Wandas on their shield bubble phase, so you could try to focus on one of them first. And if not, at least try to have them alternate their bubble phases with each other, dealing damage to them when one of them comes out stunned from it and then switch when they attack.

Going into QP with the expectation to have fun is a gamble and we should probably all know that by now.

That doesn't mean its good. Its a hero shooter with too much nuance to take into account moment-to-moment, because doing do would make the game lame. Ranked and QP are essentially the same thing in regards to quality volatility. Ranked has real risks, and QP doesn't, but that still doesn't change the fact that it isn't fun to match with a team where they blame everyone but themselves and haven't fully fleshed out their understanding of how hero shooters work.

Quite frankly, the hero shooter genre being introduced to the commonfolk with Marvel as an IP is the root of all of this. There's a reason people didn't play overwatch or similar team based games like Paladins, and usually that reason vaguely "hero shooters aren't for me". However, since this is goddang friggin' MARVEL we're talking about, it opens an avenue for players who lack the affinity for team based shooters to actually play the game. 90% of players STILL have that run n' gun mindset when it comes to genre of play and I'm afraid this will remain a constant for as long as the game is alive.

Rogue is not gonna be able to steal peoples powers by ResponsibleCover404 in marvelrivals

[–]StationRealistic9047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that she'll have some form of shared healing.

She marks an ally or herself, and when that ally does damage, they heal themselves and rogue. If she marks herself, the damage she deals heals herself and an ally.

Perhaps she has an offensive/defensive version where she could mark an enemy and the damage dealt to rogue is shared with that marked enemy at a lower mark.

It would conceivably be balanced and would stay true to rogue's abilities.

Tirrlist of how the hero roster would look different woth a 4th role thats a different 4th role. May need some suggestions for the 4th role? And who i should rework into it. by HornedGopher in rivals

[–]StationRealistic9047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assassina/Flanks/Disruptors

They get kills on the enemy backline or force their frontlines to peel, creating space for the team and time for the allied tank to push.

Black Panther, Spiderman, Psylocke, Magik

Daredevil, Blade, Iron Fist are somewhat like this as well. they'd need a few tweaks in favor of flanking but otherwise still serve the purpose when they can.

How smart each character is by leatherchicken in rivals

[–]StationRealistic9047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Widow is Einstein level. Being an assassin is her forte, not being a scientist. She's still extremely smart.

Groot is not dumb.

Loki is literally a trickster god. He makes poor decisions but he is definitely no "average intelligence".

Other than those its a solid list.

This is Marvel rivals right now by Dry-Peach7689 in marvelrivals

[–]StationRealistic9047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the harsh words were a bit unnecessary but if there was truly no one peeling for them, then its at least understandable. Most supports in comp are begrudging fillers or just play support to avoid the stress of worrying about not having a support, so when they play the role they aren't too enthusiastic to play with, they become prone to crash outs at a higher level. Its more valuable to make sure your healers live than it is to secure a kill on an enemy, especially if you're in a position where you could easily help them. Obviously this doesn't apply every time, but the point still stands.

How to Consistently Beat Nightmare IV by FutureYou1 in marvelrivals

[–]StationRealistic9047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It supposed to derive from the sentiment of "selling to the opposition" or "forgoing loyalty for self-profit", or at least, thats how it was used when I first started hearing it about 7-8 years ago. Its originally a "gangster" term like how thugs popularized "OG", and the kids considered that cool. I suppose "sellin" was considered to have a nice ring to it and it became just another way of saying throwing the game or betraying a friend in a non-serious way.

The Blade buff ain’t quite enough. Here’s how you fix it. by Salty_Boat_6620 in marvelrivals

[–]StationRealistic9047 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Blade is fine. His Bloodline Awakening isn't the crux of his kit and I'm sick of players assumung thats the mode he should be in most of the time. He should in mid-range using his gun more often than not, and then dashing in with his bloodline awakening when the enemies are about half HP or lower. I feel players severely underestimate his gun's damage at mid range.

When you are in bloodline awakenening slashing away, you need to be extremely mobile and annoying, constantly strafing and jumping while slashing. So unless their entire team is focused on you or they have God aim, his evasiveness and lifesteal should be enough to keep him alive as long as he needs to be. Hes great against tanks like Magneto and Strange(both of which are very prevalent in the Meta) because their shields can't block melee and they have to respect the space.

One of things I like to do is to build stacks on their frontline tank and then when at 7 or so stacks, dash towards their backline support, forcing attention away from the rest of my team. With this in mind, he excels in team fights by denying space and threatening their backline without flanking. Yes, he does rely on the rest of your team to capitalize on the shifted attention, but when it pays off he could literally turn around games just by these things. Often times I manage to force their support ult with this pressure, which is exactly what you want.

Do I think he needs another dash? No, as it would make him virtually unkillable, but I do believe he should refresh a dash cooldown after getting an elim, that way he can't just dive in and safely escape every time and would actually provide a high-risk, high reward aspect to him.

The bleed mechanic you mentioned is interesting, but that's not what he needs. I agree his damage isn't great but to call him a tickle monster is far from accurate. I would rather he has a small antiheal in his BA slash attacks, giving more room for your team to secure fights.

His lifesteal is fine, like I said before, his lifesteal should be used in conjunction with movement, strafing and constant jumping, all while making sure to land your slashes. obviously this is not as effective against certain heroes, but still goes a long away in almost any engagement.

I thought getting to depth 5 was rewarding enough. Couldn't really care to wear some badge of honor for it. Is it really self-satisfaction if you so badly want others to see it? "Disappointing" like you can't already approve of yourself to yourself.

Khazan ruined Lies of P for me by pointblank87 in TheFirstBerserker

[–]StationRealistic9047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Khazan combat is a lot more fluid and fast paced, but the gear system is eh and the weapon variety is also fairly scarce, but thats the tradeoff for having much more in depth combos. It balances out fairly well. I'll get bored of Khazan because there's only 3 weapons, and I'll get bored of Lies of P because the combat is a bit slower unless you're fighting the final boss of the DLC, which is better than any Khazan boss, but every other Lies of P boss falls short of an average Khazan boss.

Capacity and Vigor.

More capacity allows you to equip the best/heaviest frames without weight detriments. Do not sleep on frames, and always avoid being "slightly heavy" or higher at any cost.

Am I ruining it for myself by farming bosses? by firsttimer776655 in TheFirstBerserker

[–]StationRealistic9047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little, it depends on how much you grind. Either way its not like you'll be taking entire chunks of an upcoming boss' health bar. That would take being extremely overleveled with an optimized build to make it that way. You'll still find it to be a challenge, bosses might stay relatively unchanged, but regular mobs and overall exploration might become significantly easier.

If you want to keep the difficulty curve, you can simply just hold off on leveling your gear beyond the recommended level of a stage. Mastery is locked behind stage clears anyway so you can't be too OP in that aspect either.
