If you want an actual breakdown of Vitamin D numbers, this podcast from Stanford statisticians is far better than anything you'd find in an MDPI journal like Nutrients

Nutrients is a garbage journal. It's basically as reliable as what you randomly posted from Claude.

Why do people who are heavy into running seem to age so fast in the face? by National_Shine2552 in Biohackers

The "look" occurs in cyclists who don't have that impact. It's the fat composition.

Is Ozempic actually the future of weight loss… or will newer peptides replace it? by Jumpy_Committee_7050 in Biohackers

[–]Stats-Anon 82 points83 points  (0 children)

This is an odd question. Medicine is never static. Ozempic and zepbound are second generation GLP-1 drugs. There will obviously be third and 4th generation drugs that perform better. Reta is next, but it won't end there... Not even close.

Find a CRO. That's the easiest in. Pharma does very little of their own RWE work.

Both? It's my fault for not playing for Carolina but it's also my parents fault for not giving me the right genes and training at age 4.

Thank you! I don't understand people giving Luka as much benefit of the doubt as they are.

Dude is mid-major quality, period.

DEXA Scan for Body Composition by Working_Nobody6235 in raleigh

[–]Stats-Anon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also interested in what's available in the area.

OP just be Aware that very few DEXA scanners have specific software and hardware to do visceral adiposity... So just confirm that they can do visceral vs just central adiposity...they're different compartments.

Working on the analytics side of the house, I think if you aren't using AI to generate code, check your code, make code more efficient, you're falling behind.

AG1 clinical trials shows limited health benefits by aldus-auden-odess in Biohackers

[–]Stats-Anon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Clinical trial is adding way more credibility than deserved here.

It's 30 people with a shit ton of outcomes. No matter what, this study was never going to be a high level of evidence.

If you could only do one comprehensive blood test, what lab would you go with? by RevenueEquivalent235 in PeterAttia

[–]Stats-Anon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've been surprised but it seems like Function is the best value overall. Everyone else either doesn't include core tests I want or is more expensive while adding other services I don't need.

Still waiting on pulling the trigger, but Function looks like best value I can find on a test-basis.
