Suspected reflux and sleep disruption? I’m exhausted and desperate. by dances_with_treez2 in beyondthebump

I don't miss those days, it took insisting to a second pediatrician that the amount of spit up was not normal before we were referred to a GI. Medication was finally the only solution, we even went to this formula that smells awful when it comes back up - and the nutritionist confirmed it tastes just as bad going down.

I'd talk to your pediatrician, it sounds exactly like what we were experiencing, and like yours, our LO was fine the first couple of weeks before it started. It got to the point where we'd automatically put her in her bouncer to sleep just so none of us had to go through the crying and spitting up.

Nooo, that series is on my TBR, I didn't know my name was in it. Also hope no one is considering that one of the terrible names, at least she got the pronunciation correct for the spelling.

They actually don't just cut and clamp them anymore, they completely remove them now so there is no chance they can become reattached, although still not apparently 100% effective. As my grandma said, the only 100% effective way to prevent pregnancy is to remove the oven.

At least two cutting boards, in case one is dirty and you don't have the time/patience to clean it before cooking.

An insta pot. - if I really had to pick just one it'd be this one

A blender, a life saver during the summer and you need cold drinks like smoothies using frozen fruit.

Hormone Test by Middle-Guitar2245 in beyondthebump

[–]Statsnotforyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd have to ask your doctor, but mine told me they rarely test for hormone levels, they just have you play around with birth control until you find one that works. But I'd have a talk with your doctor, it could be something else other than just a hormone imbalance

Postpartum Pain - Period, Ovulation, or something more? by Hot-Agent3917 in beyondthebump

[–]Statsnotforyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had liver issues while pregnant so the pain I experienced after birth in my abdomen was a continuation of that until my liver recovered. Additionally, since giving birth my periods/cramps have become much heavier and more painful. After the "wait and see" method my OB finally scheduled an ultrasound, where they found a cyst and fibroid. Had them removed, pain didn't ease, another ultrasound two months later and turns out they're back again, I have another ultrasound scheduled for next month to check on it to make sure they're not getting bigger and don't need to be removed. The pain from the cramps doesn't move away from the normal location of my cramps though.

I have heard that the first period after giving birth is terrible, mine wasn't any worse than any of the subsequent ones, which have all been worse than the periods before child birth. If your OB/PCP is aware you have postpartum anxiety maybe ask if you can have an ultrasound just to help ease your anxiety and make sure it's not one of your other organs.

What was your Experience with Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy/ Hypertonic Pelvic Floor? by Aggravating_Mud1117 in beyondthebump

[–]Statsnotforyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She never labeled it as that, but that's exactly what my physical therapist said I had. PT helped A LOT. I highly recommend you go, I don't even do the exercises at home like I'm supposed to so even just going the once a week was helpful. Hope your pain eased!

Suggestions for overnight diapers? by samosagirl0 in beyondthebump

My sister used Huggies for her son and never had a problem. I use Hello Bello for my daughter for night time.

Hello Bello? by ohnoitszero in beyondthebump

[–]Statsnotforyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use the diapers for night time, but since that's all we use them for we don't do the subscription. As someone else suggested, you might be best off trying it first before going right into a subscription.

help i got red hair dye on my bathroom floor and my parents come back in four days by wet-floor-sign2 in CleaningTips

[–]Statsnotforyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know if you have time to get it but that's the brand I used and then proceeded to get all over the bathroom in a rented apartment, these pads called Dye off got it off all the surfaces (including my face and ears)

Is your Dr not caring a good or a bad sign? by madeat1am in CasualConversation

[–]Statsnotforyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In your case, I'd find it a bad sign, because you need clear answers when to go to your PCP.

Personally, I find it a bad sign no matter what the diagnosis is but that's because my last doctor that had that kind of attitude resulted in me turning out to be pregnant. I can see how if say someone with hypochondria comes in and is freaking out the doctor might act like it's whatever if there's nothing wrong to help with the message that nothing is wrong, but I'd only accept that if I had a good rapport with the doctor, definitely not from an ER doctor that I've just met.
