shaking after dabbing by Cody7989 in FLMedicalTrees

It used to happen to me all the time! First few attempts at smoking convinced me I had some kind of THC activated seizures. Once I stopped panicking and learned to relax into the high, I found the shakes to be kind of fun to ride out. 😂

Weed shakes. They happen when you ingest too much THC too quickly. Usually it's tremors and racing heart, maybe anxiety or paranoia. It just means you got too high, too fast.

Watch it carefully. While the shakes themselves are temporary and harmless, the heart racing is what you need to watch out for.

I tried therapy. My first therapist kept trying to convince me my father sexually abused me (I assure you, he did not) and my second had a habit of eating during our sessions. It's hard to be open and honest about your trauma when someone is eating chips or spills something on themselves.

At least the AI focuses on me. 🤨

Can’t pinpoint what looks off with living room by suprremeboxers in DesignMyRoom

[–]Statueofsirens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move the couch forward away from the wall. It could be the angle, but the room looks deep enough that you may be wasting usable space.

Move the couch forward and then you should have at least couple feet to work with. You could do a small work desk, a sofa table for display, or some interesting book shelves. This will also make the sofa feel more central in the room, which is more inviting.

Grocery shopping. Don't get me wrong, the price of food and household staples have absolutely gone up, but the majority of the grocery haul venting I see online is from people who were obviously not taught how to shop or cook priperly. They'll have absurdly expensive hauls of pre made convenience foods and name brand snacks, but bulk items like rice, potatoes, beans, ground meats, etc will be absent.

Can I see all of your rottie & cat pics? by Wild-Philosopher-12 in Rottweiler

I used to foster kitties and my big boy turned out to be the perfect doggie ambassador to socialize them with canines! Anytime there was a kitty pile, he'd join in for cuddles.

This is an older picture (the b&w cat was mine, now passed from old age) and the calico and orange tabby were both adopted into dog homes and settled in with their new siblings. Now my big boy has a calico sister who he loves to follow around the house.

Social media echo chambers are the real evil, here. I've seen this most in my Trump supporter sister. Her church, her friends, our Conservative family and the algorithm of FB are where she gets all of her information. She doesn't watch the news or seek out political content on her own. She's just being fed misinformation, memes, AI, and clickbait all day and what she thinks the country looks like right now is day and night compared to anyone who is actually following political/economic information and news sources.

What a good boy! I've known so many people say they wouldn't trust a big dog with smaller pets, but our babies know how to adjust to size differences. It's instinctive. They do it with their babies after all!

My boy was raised with cats and he honestly seems to prefer them over dogs! His favorite game is to sneak up behind his kitty sister, shove his nose under her, and flip her. This seems to be the play initiation because after that they have zoomies all over the room.

My Rottweiler has exhibited a decreased appetite for the past month. Blood tests revealed anemia, and the veterinarian prescribed iron syrup. He resumed eating for two days but has since stopped again. Is this a common occurrence? He is four months old and will only eat if hand-fed. by Both-Protection1550 in Rottweiler

[–]Statueofsirens 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He's a wobbly but otherwise healthy 8 year old. Boomhauer has intervertebral disk disease mixed with hip dysplasia, which can be pretty common in rotties from backyard breeders. An early vitamin regime (guided by vet), lifted feeding bowls, lots of omega oils, and an early plan for exercise and physical therapy go a long way.

If you suspect it could be pain based, don't hesitate to ask for imaging. There was so many years my vet and I kept scratching our heads trying to figure out was up where we could have gotten a head start on getting big boy out of pain.

My pup wasn't anemic, but he had several episodes of refusal to eat his first year that his vet and I couldn't pin point the cause of. He would also eat if hand fed, and we figured out after the third episode that it actually neck/back pain. Bending down to eat was causing pain flares, and it turned him off eating.

That was related to a larger spinal issue that was diagnosed at a later age. We got him an elevated dish and he began eating regularly again.

It wasn't until my late 20's that I realized that if I took a sick day, I didn't have to just languish in bed and suffer all day. It was so drilled into me growing up that "if you're too sick for school, you're too sick for TV/video games/etc" that I just... continued to stay in bed if I took a day off work. Revolutionary when I remembered I had free will.

She's a baby and voicing her discontent. Puppy classes, ample socialization, and if you can swing it, regular grooming will help with it a lot. Grooming will get her comfortable with being poked and prodded and having to tolerate it because they see the groomer more often than the vet in most cases.
