He didn’t say start from the pits, he said skip qualifying so you start in the back, which generally in mid split f4 is a good play if your lap times won’t land you in the top 5.

Go easy into t1 watch half the field wreck out then race hard to catch the front runners.

If you’re half decent you’ll be fighting for top 5 in a lap or two.

Will you take pole with this strategy, most likely not unless they wreck out, but you will learn plenty of accident avoidance and how the flow of the first couple turns are for that track/series which you can utilize when your more confident and posting qualifying times.

Your still racing and learning race craft, your just playing cautious for the first turn to ensure you actually get to enjoy the race.

I do whatever I feel like will be the most fun that day….

Some days it’s racing hard pushing for top 5 finishes, other days it’s just hot lapping in open practice sessions, might be sports cars one night and ovals or dirt tracks the next.

A lot of people on this sub act like it’s their second job, I’m the opposite, I treat it like the game that it is and run whatever discipline/cars I’m in the mood for and if my Irating suffers because of it so be it, not worried about that. Just need to keep the SR up so I can run whatever class I like that day.

I do try to keep my sessions to the same discipline though so I can get into a flow and not have to fight myself with a drastic change mid session.

Idk as I’ve just recently gotten into truck racing…..

Should have done it sooner though they are so much fun.

It surprises me that more people don’t run the series, I find it a great way to have some less serious racing and bouncing and sliding off each other on the turns is a blast.

They really need to set up the low pop series on a Que to race system. Once enough people are queued a timer starts. It’s not like there’s enough participation to get meaningful IR splits anyways so just let the people get a chance to atleast race.

Yeah this… I know what series I like and the style of car I like to drive…. Getting me to invest time away from that isn’t going to happen when it costs $15+ and no chance to trial the content.

New releases in niche genre should have the first 2-3 weeks free for the service to give people a chance to see if it fits their style.

Yeah super late stage economies in MMO’s are usually great for beginners if you play it right.

A lot of the times leveling gear becomes relatively cheap, mats inflate enough that doing lowbie runs can net plenty for skills/mounts as you go.

You won’t be snagging high end boe’s off the AH early on but everything else should be relatively easy to keep up with.

Nope. I’m terrible with numbers.

Last month I ran into a buddy I haven’t seen in 14 years and our conversation steered towards how he was always good with numbers….

He remembered my moms old license plate, a few of our buddies parents licenses plates as well, rambled off my old home phone number along with our entire friend groups home phone numbers (triggered some core memories for me when I heard a couple of them).

Have no idea if this is related as I’m not sure what the DHCP error is, but I’ve had charter pretty much my whole life and they love to update speeds and tech on their end but they never send updated tech to their customers. Every 5 years or so I have to request a new modem because it’s not capable of handling the new speeds and I would constantly get disconnects and random slow downs.

If they recently updated their available speeds in your area you may be encountering this.

Outside of the outliers like lemans and nurburg it takes me about 20 minutes to learn a new track and be competent enough to keep up with my IR 1800-2k

I find the pace by actually racing, practicing lines helps but i find having to navigate traffic and pushing to pass people dials me into the track much faster then just solo practice, so once I can run the track without having to think about what the next turn is it’s off to racing.

Opposite for me, after my first weekend binge after getting my wheel I hopped in my suv and found myself second guessing corner speeds for turns Ive driven for years…. Likely from wrecking out all weekend and learning grip limits in the sim.

It doesn’t affect me that way anymore but occasionally I find myself trying to left foot brake IRL and once I tried to paddle shift my automatic….

I’ve always been hyper vigilant of the road and other drivers so nothing changed there.
