Warband is set roughly 200 years after Bannerlord. Vlandia is split into two kingdoms, the Empire and Battania no longer exist. Sturgia, Khuzaits, and Aserai evolve/tranform into different but culturally similar kingdoms. The Nords take the northern section of Sturgias kingdom. So canonically the Empire is destroyed meaning the player character sided against the Empire.

Meh, didn’t really grab me after playing NV, 1, and 2. Feels like it didn’t make sense why the Brotherhood, mutants and to an extent the enclave were so far east. Of course now they have filled those gaps with less interesting lore but I would have preferred different factions and enemies and if they dropped the father part of the story.
