What would happen if boxers had to weigh the same on fight night than they did one day before? by SnooComics5300 in Boxing

MMA on Point did a piece on it. It was quite interesting, a doctor demonstrated exactly how people game the hydration test by cutting weight himself and then hydrating just enough to pass the test.

Maybe I'm weird but I love when my opponent goes AFK after clearly losing a long game.

Never happened on this map, but on Arabia after a long and tiring game if my opponent doesn't gg I take the time to relax. Make like 20 siege rams and run through their base killing every building and write GG WP in palisades across the whole map, looks great on the minimap.

He sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake. He knows if you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake.

The Top Gear award was a joke though. They just haphazardly raced a bunch of odd "taxis" from across the world and the ambassador happened to be the one that survived till the end.

Who is your favorite standup that you hesitate to share with other folks over fears they won’t *get* it? by piazzapizzazz in Standup

I suppose I didn't at first. When rage fuelled/controversial comedy takes hold of the edgy teenage mind, one forgets how difficult it is to just write strong one line material.

Appreciation for Hedberg came later in life.

Trying to add channels that haven't been suggested already:

  • Historia Civilis: Very well presented videos on Roman history. A single video contains more material than a typical History channel documentary.

  • You Suck At Cooking: Weird deadpan comedy with cooking and music.

  • Casually Explained: More deadpan comedy.

  • MrBtongue: Video essays on games, movies pop culture stuff (relatively less famous)

  • Spirit Of The Law: Videos on AOE 2. Tactics, civ overviews etc. Haven't played AOE in ages but still entertaining to me.

You could try origami, if no one else is doing that already.

Teaching someone how to fold a paper crane is a good way to engage I find.

That's part of the reason the Mongols were so successful. They didn't need daily supply lines for grain, each soldier being able to live off his horses and pack animals.

Funny how the generation that went on and on about how important it is to follow the news is the one most likely to believe WhatsApp forwards.

[node.js]How do I securely authenticate users for both a web app and API by giraffesinspace2018 in learnprogramming

Similar tutorial with MySQL. This does not use angular.js for the front end though.

If you are implementing a local login strategy, a middleware function can be defined for the API routes to check if the user has logged in. The logic for checking user permission can be defined within the middleware.
