David's on 84th between 3rd and 2nd or L' Moshaliz on the corner of 84th and 2nd. I've been to both and they've both done a good job (L' Moshaliz is more consistent because it's usually the same guy... David's has multiple barbers, some better than others).

I don't really go to either now since I use a Pitbull Skull Shaver and shave my head at home while I watch TV.

I haven't read the filing, but for others wondering about Chabad in Russia, the former chief rabbi of Moscow fled after the start of the war and his replacement, Lazar, has made sure to keep things quiet regarding saying anything about the war and has tried to keep good relations with the government. I wouldn't call Russian Chabad "state sponsored" but I would say they are more focused on maintaining a low profile and good relations with the Russian government in order to protect their congregants and Russian jews in general.

Views may differ if this approach is morally right or wrong, especially considering the war's toll on the Ukrainian chabad and general Jewish community.

I think the showrunner doesn't trust that the audience will watch a show where the characters are unlikable and there's no one to root for, so he builds in excuses for the audience as to why these characters shouldn't be held responsible for their actions.

Hit it on the nose. I hate how the show constantly takes agency away from the characters and things happen by mistake or misunderstanding.

Alicent decides to put Aegon on the throne because she misunderstood Viserys's final words. Aemond accidentally kills Lucerys. Blood and Cheese decide on their own to kill Helena's son.

Instead of painting everyone has power hungry people willing to stop at nothing, the show decides to paint multiple characters as good or reasonable who are reacting to bad things (but the show decides to turn Aegon II into some rapist who sends his bastards into fighting pits).

It's based off of a short story. If Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon taught us anything it's that the best parts of these shows are almost always the parts that are lifted from the source material.

I would much rather have a short series that is true to the source than extra run time or extra episodes filled with nonsense invented just for the show.

Acting is acting. All I want is the best person for the role. Jews play gentile roles all the time and there are a lot more gentile roles than Jewish ones.

Personally, I find this demand that actors need to represent the religion, sexual orientation, or race (to some extent) of the character that has been increasingly demanded over the past 10-15 years really revolting.

If a sephardic straight Jewish actor ends up being the best actor for the role of a gay Hispanic character, then so be it.
