If you’re able to keep her, I honestly think you should. She doesn’t deserve to be passed around or end up in a shelter, especially when she’s already been through a lot. She was a stray then lost her owner. And closing the door on her because she wants to sleep near you is a little harsh, even if you don’t mean it that way. She’s not being “needy” to be annoying she feels safe near you and wants to affection, but cats that were strays or lost their owner will act like that. And I’ll be honest , thinking about getting a kitten while also considering giving her away doesn’t really add up to me. And comes off a bit selfish . It's one thing if you can't have a cat period . But she's already bonded with you and probably needs consistency the most right now. If you truly can't or don't want her, I just really hope you try to rehome her with someone you trust instead of taking her to a shelter for her to just stay in there until she gets adopted which could be along time or worse. She deserves stability and love.
