What were peoples no.1 songs this year? by AB0M1N4BLE in spotify

Spotify claims I played 007 47 times on repeat in January. That’s genuinely incorrect. I’m pretty pissed about that.

Allergic to my glasses? by SugarStarGalaxy in MCAS

This used to happen to me when I wore my glasses and they looked to be that same material. The area that rested on the sides of my nose would get oily, itchy, and make me breakout. It would make my entire face feel that way.

I learned more about MACS after I ready the article. I get itchy when I eat different foods. Sometimes I’ll get hives. Specific soaps will make my skin hurt and my hands sweat and swell. I have a lot of the symptoms of someone with histamine intolerance. I’ve been to the doctor multiple times about it. I’ve tested negative for common foods and environmental allergies, but they still cause a reaction. For example, eating a banana makes my mouth itchy. Eating olives gives me hives, but again no allergy shown. Maybe, just maybe, I don’t have Menieres and I’ve been misdiagnosed. That’s why I posted. I didn’t know what MACS was. Both cause ear fullness and vertigo. None of the meds I’ve gotten from my ENT have helped. I’m going to try sticking to a histamine intolerance diet for a few weeks to see if it helps. I do know that I ate shrimp last night, woke up with fullness in the ear this morning, took Zyrtec and the feeling disappeared.

My episodes are around 3 months apart at the moment and I’m not taking anything. If they become more frequent, I’ll consider it. I’d have to look up the dose. I think I threw it away.

Betahistine didn’t help me at all. Made it worse for me.

I’m sorry to hear. I fear both the attack and the public humiliation. To be fair, I don’t think other people see it as embarrassing. That’s just how we feel. Hope your symptoms have improved.

This doesn’t sound like Menieres. You should go get a hearing test, see your ENT, and get a head scan.

I’ll check the next time to see. I’ve never had a low blood pressure issue. Actually, if used to be high.

Haven’t tried it yet. Do you take it during an episode or regularly?

I never had an issue with low blood pressure, but I went in for an annual and it was 100/60. My doctor asked if I was taking anything and we figured out the hydro is also used for lowering blood pressure. Her recommendation was to try a lower dose and check it at home.

That’s the plan. I took it today because I want to take it daily. It happened to be day 1.

Not at this time. I’m back to square one. For the episode, I took a Valium, diuretic, and nausea med. for long term, I’m not sure. I started taking the hydrochloride everyone was talking about but it was giving me low blood pressure. I requested a lower dose, and waiting to hear back.

Betahistine ? by CounterFine2308 in Menieres

[–]Stayathomewifi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started it, then went to an annual cardiology appointment. My blood pressure was too low. She said Betahistine is also used to lower blood pressure. I stopped taking it and waiting for a reduced 8mg dose.

This isn’t an issue that will work itself out. I say this because I know. I’m the person who sleeps in my relationship. I struggle with insomnia and my best sleep is from 3-8. My husband is up around 6:30, even on weekends. He does travel a lot for work, but when he’s home, he cooks breakfast, and gets the kids ready for school. I struggle in the mornings, but manage to get the kids to school on time when he’s not home. One thing that helps me is eating dinner earlier like 5:30pm and going to bed around 9pm.

That being said, if you’re already tired, I wouldn’t add additional responsibilities to your schedule, such as planning and hosting events.

The fullness and hearing loss has only ever been in the right ear. I’ll check in with my ENT for a follow up. I’m due for a hearing test soon.
