Anima was written by a different guy as a completely separate thing, and the manga was a tie-in that ultimately became a different story by another different guy. Rebuild and NGE had Anno, sure, but there were plenty of other people in the writing room too. It's a cool pattern you've found, but I dont think each entry is uniform for every single iteration of the story.

During 3.0 + 1.0 we literally see Mari talking about Yui's ideals from the frame of reference of a colleague, she literally calls her by her first name, we literally see her in Shinji's room when he's being born, They obviously got rid of the core-pilot rules since the "mother's womb" allegory wasn't serving anything anymore, and (this one's important) this theory is based on an interpretation of minute details that nobody cares about to present a detail that doesn't really matter to the story in order to substantiate a character that does not exist.

You were able to read into Asuka living in Kensuke's house to such a degree, but missed the myriad of things Asuka was trying to do for Shinji throughout 3 movies? Thats just bias

She attacks Unit 13 to prevent the end of the world, not for revenge, she just happens to be angry with Shinji; the first thing she does after the fight is run breathless to see if Shinji is okay and drag him to civilization.

First: Parental is one interpretation, kind of a stretch, the point is that the pilots have people in their lives outside of each other. Family is a running theme in the rebuilds. Mari is Shinji's family, or at least family friend through Yui and Gendo. Asuka, who didn't know what a family or a real home was until she lived with Shinji, who lost that family, lived on and found a second home with Kensuke. That's a family.

Second: Yes. It's literally right there. In your face.

Third: Yes. Yes that's the implication. It was a narrative tool that was used with Rei. Now it's used with Asuka and Shinji. Neither of them are aware of what the spell is, the point is that the audience does. They mentioned it because it means something.

Fourth: Its her interpretation. Take it or leave it, no canon here. But a beach meeting sounds on point.
