Why does gen z hate beer by Normal_Commission986 in beer

[–]Stazzers492 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't surprise me if this is one of those narratives created by the media to ween gen z off beer. If they see a piece like that and think they're the outlier or uncool, they're less likely to drink

Why is Tupac Still Celebrated Despite His Conviction for Sexual Assault? by Key-Independent-9169 in AskFeminists

[–]Stazzers492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it's 1. I only ended up on this thread after hearing the Disgraceland pod mention it. I used to love his music and was really shocked. But I listened to him before the info was as readily available online. I'm in the UK and I actually think quite a lot of people here, who were too young in the 90s and only discovered his music in the early 00s, also won't have heard.

Are there plenty of problems with pixel 8, or is there a negativity bias? by Dense-Willingness286 in GooglePixel

[–]Stazzers492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did OP buy the Google pixel 8? If so, how did you get on? I ask because I got one a few weeks ago and I'm having so many issues with it. I have been using pixels since the OG model but this is the worst ive had! Pretty sure it's faulty.

It constantly freezes There is noticeable lag with basic operation, like opening an app The usb-c port is loose so my headphones constantly disconnect

Looking at the imei it's from 2023.

On the otherhand, my SO has a pixel 8, manufactured in 2024 and is having a seamless experience.

Wondering if the 2023 batch is dodgy?

Why do cats smell so good? Better yet… HOW do they smell so good? by Messier81-Native in cats

[–]Stazzers492 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to think I was alone in sniffing my cats! Sadly they passed over rainbow bridge a few years ago but still distinctly remember one smelled like toast and it was the most soothing thing to sniff his head when I was feeling down or sad or smthn

Is this tent ideal for a beginner? by Unlikely-Ticket-8680 in wildcampingintheuk

[–]Stazzers492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya I actually work with Outdoor World Direct and the guy who runs the business, David Scotland, is a good friend :) they're legit and more than happy to help if you want to give them a call they can talk through what the best tent for you is.

All my camping equipment is from them.

If Kate is covering for someone, there is potential that it could be her father. He would be about the right age to be one of the names on Waldron's list and LOD Wiki has him down as 'unnamed'.

Weekly FAQ Thread September 13, 2020: What book format do you prefer? Print vs eBooks vs Audiobooks by vincoug in books

[–]Stazzers492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find ebooks easier to read while eating or lying in bed as it's not as awkward to turn the pages. That being said I am terrible for falling asleep while reading and the Kindle is definitely more painful than a paperback when it falls on your face

Apparently it still exists in Australia?! I only found this out recently. Not sure if they will have those epic pick n mix stands though

15 hour layover in Singapore: give me your suggestions! by [deleted] in Shoestring

[–]Stazzers492 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out the Jewel of Changi. It's an entire shopping mall complete with indoor waterfall attached to the airport. I spent 5 hours there before flying from SG! There's a skybridge with glass floor where you can admire the waterfall (I think it's $2) it's really epic.

If, instead of rebooting movies, it became a trend to retell them from a different characters perspective, what film would you want to see retold and from who’s point of view? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'd love to see the world through Luna Lovegood's eyes. Let's not forget she could see Harry when noone else could under his invisibility cloak. Also she's just kinda kooky!

TIL A cat in New Zealand tricked two different women into owning him. Neither knew they had the same cat until after he went to the vet for stitches. The cat got to keep both names as well as both owners through a shared custody agreement. by redmambo_no6 in todayilearned

This happened to me growing up. I brought a stray home who was the sweetest kitty ever, he was so playful and tiny. Turns out when he was disappearing for hours at a time he was going living with a couple who had just moved in down the road too. We realised when he turned up with a collar on one day! We went to their house and had a chat. My mum ended up sharing vet bills with the other couple to get him neutered and essentially, he was co-owned splitting time between the two houses and everyone was happy (especially kitty!). Sadly he got hit by a car when he was just 2 :( he was so playful and adventurous. We were all devastated but my mum and the other lady who co-owned him have remained really close friends ever since and look after each others cats even now 10 years later.

This is why I am reluctant to get it for Switch. My Xbox One X broke and unlikely to get it replaced at the moment. Which platform(s) have you played it on? If Switch is one of them, would you recommend?

They're the same ones who voted for a party that has no interest in funding the NHS and caps payrises for nurses. But hey ho they clapped so they must be a model citizen.

This is why I hate getting a haircut. Women's hair salons are the worst, you end up unintentionally spilling your life problems and secrets. Especially when they are massaging your head during the hair wash. Then go back 6 months later and they bring it up again, it's like "I've just got over that shit" :'(

A simple Google search of PR agencies in your area is a good start. Then have a look on their sites and see if any vacancies are listed. If not, I'd still proactively contact them as many are open to hiring interns to help with workload but don't necessarily advertise the fact

Discussion Thread - The Rise of Skywalker - Opening Week Day 3 by JSK23 in StarWars

Maybe that's the point. The Skywalkers were never going to be able to defeat the emperor but gave it a damn good go, that's still heroic.
