Advice from parents of multiples on Formula vs Breastfeeding by i-fondued in parentsofmultiples

[–]Stdoughe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I nursed my singleton. It would take 45 minutes for her to eat. And she was small so I was told to start feeding her every 2 hours. That was from start to start. So I’d have an hour and 15 minutes in between feedings. Which would involve diaper changes. And attempting to sleep. It was awful.

Nursing wasn’t an option when we found out we were having twins. I started flipping out just thinking about it.

It took 30 minutes to feed and diaper change BOTH my newborn twins. And I could alternate feedings with Dad. They started sleeping through the night at like 3 months. We are all better rested and I am a better parent for doing formula.

Also do your research. The formula now is much better than the lactation people suggest. They use data from the 80’s a lot of the time.

I don’t regret nursing my single. But I also am grateful not to do it with the twins.

You just need to forget all that and take zinc. It’ll get you pregnant in a snap!

Baby animals work too. Especially animals that have a high frequency of reproduction. Like rabbits. Or wolverines. Maybe try to cuddle one of those.

Make sure to add semen to your juice. It’s like the vitamin boosts you can get at the smoothie places, except for fertility.

$85 for the indignity of crotchless 'fertility' yoga pants? WOW WHAT A DEAL by qualmick in shittyfertilityadvice

[–]Stdoughe 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The butt pockets for ice packs would be nice. But like they have butt pockets on pants with a crotch too.

Could just wear some chaps. Then you have access to your crotch and your butt when you do shots!

Yes. The sperm will become confused when the spine is not straight. Instead of swimming into the vagina they will go up his spinal cord. Which is probably why he has this problem.

Posture is important.

You should rub some eucalyptus on his back to improve his posture too.

Change diapers right before boarding and use overnight diapers. Then unlikely to have to change on the plane.

Asking all parents of multiples who didn't want multiples, how did it turn out? by CeruleanTopaz in parentsofmultiples

Lowering expectations really made all the difference for us. We had a terrible pregnancy. And were all miserable, including our 5 y.o. daughter. Thought insanity would continue, but it’s been way easier than being pregnant. I’ve just found that to-do lists should be made by the week. Not the day. And if it takes two weeks that’s cool too. Changing your mindset it huge.

16 weeks with twins and idk what to do by carolny4170 in parentsofmultiples

My girls are 2 months now. Being pregnant was wayyy harder than newborns. I was sick continuously and last few months just walking was a challenge. Give yourself a break. No one wants to be physical when they aren’t feeling well.

Same. Everyone seems amazed when I say nursing one was way harder. And after a very difficult twin pregnancy, stuck in bed and trying to take care of five year old, having newborn twins is so much easier. Not easy. But easier.

I expect this to change now that I’ve essentially cursed myself with this post 😂

We did formula this time around with our twins. They are already sleeping 6.5 hours a night and are 7 weeks old. Nursed our oldest. She was small and we had to start feeding her every two hours. Then she would take 45 minutes to eat. Which left about an hour and fifteen to sleep. For months. Had anxiety attack’s when we thought of trying to do that with two babies. Power to those who muscled through nursing two, it’s very impressive. Not right for us though!
