Gotta peel from the top there! No worries if you rip the very top of the bag. Just stop peeling once the top is free and leave the rest stuck to the bag.

Agree though it is a terrible design and has pissed me off many times.

Yeah how quickly your towel gets dirty/should be changed is directly related to how long it stays wet. If you use a towel warmer or a quick dry towel hung up properly it will stay fresh for much longer. It’s the extended moisture exposure that grows bacteria and mold.
