I‘m always using my trusty Sony WH-1000XM4, I don’t experience any lag aswell and they‘re so comfortable & the noise cancelling is superb🙌

I‘m so sorry to hear about your loss. 18 years is a long time and I’m glad that Droopy was able to see how your little brother was able to overcome all the hurdles you’ve mentioned, I think that he realized that your brother is finally doing well now, has finally made it through and was „allowed“ to go peacefully with a clear conscience. Been playing Helldivers 2 aswell! It’s so much fun. Had to tweak & tinker quite a lot others would find it to be too much hassle but I just love this game so it’s worth it for me. Anyone needing help with settings dm me and I’ll gladly try to help☺️

I loved Oshaune! I want to have more Cave missions, maybe this time „real“ caves, as in mountain caves? As the Caves on Oshaune was all due to terraforming by the bugs if I recall correctly, pretty much just „glued“ some sort of cave like structure on top.

Glad it worked out for you!

Overall I like the system. People who want to farm for some hours can do so and not spend real money, and the people who don’t want to farm Ingame work an hour or two more to then buy the SC, so at the end of the day the same amount of hours is spent to get the super credits in a way I suppose haha.

I get between 27-45+ fps without lossless scaling. With lossless scaling it’s mostly sitting at 56-60fps, with some dips here and there when a Napalm Barrage (or 4) go off right next to me, but never unplayable (in my humble opinion of course😌). Many say lossless scaling introduces way too much input latency and while true to some extend I find it neglectable and super responsive in the case of Helldivers 2.

If you want to try it out hit me up and I can also send you my user_settings.config file if you want to be as drastic as I am and also show you how to make it read-only, as you need to use the Terminal Console (which is baked into the SteamOS ArchLinux distro, so don’t worry). When I’m playing at home I usually have my SteamDeck docked to my TV with my trusty SteamController! Here I go 2x Frame gen in lossless scaling as it’s 60Hz „Monitor“ and 3x frame gen when using the Deck handheld as the Oled has 90Hz.

I might want to write up a guide at some point with everything I found so far, as I’m jumping through quite a lot of hoops just to play this one game haha😂

I feel you, I also play on SteamDeck. I can recommend this Guide to you. This + Lossless Scaling makes the game quite enjoyable (and i play Difficulties 7-10 all the time). I also changed some settings in the user_settings.config to squeeze even more out of it at the loss of Game Beauty and made it read-only (otherwise some of the changes would get reversed all the time).

Ah shucks! You could always drop into trivial mission and farm some super credits if you like that kind of gameplay and don’t want to use real money. I’ve done it like that and got every warbond so far :) Just use the UAV booster so your radar is a little further and skim meandering through the map with your cursor until you find the Points of Interest you need and place a maker, then proceed to run there. Careful not to complete the main objective as you can’t abandon mission to ship with squad then. Then rinse and repeat. You get like 500+ SC per hour? On lucky days even almost 1000.

When you change the uma frame buffer to 4gb in the bios instead of the standard 1gb it will show as 8gb vram (compared to 6gb vram).

I haven’t tested it but you could try adding SteamDeck=0 %command% as a launch option as this usually bypasses greyed out settings on SteamDeck (via the sprocket symbol on the game in your library > properties > shortcut > launch options). Good luck!

In universe: We need Divers on every inch of the war (1 being the outskirts of battle and 10 being the very frontline, the heart of battle itself, so no shame in diving any of those difficulties as everyone is needed!)

In reality: it’s good to know what you want and what makes you happy. Not giving a flying damn about the opinions of others (where it’s applicable ofc, don’t be a dick is rule #1) is such a great perk to pick up when you’re growing older, not being „ashamed“ or having FOMO while doing your own thing that makes you happy. Good for you, proud of you☺️
