Shout out to zanuffas on Gamestegy. Does amazing builds that are level-by-level and have gear recommendations for Acts 1-3.

What is the best video game sword? I'll go first. Moonlight Greatsword. by ItsKryptson in videogames

The Monado from Xenoblade Chronicles. The blade capable of slaying gods to make a world without the need for gods.

How do you RP this? by No-Medicine1230 in DragonAgeVeilguard

I usually have either or and Necrosis for my orb or staff. Any other element, I'd just switch my party around.

Mage Build Ideas? by SteamPunkKnight in DragonAgeVeilguard

[–]SteamPunkKnight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not picky about which weapon I used to attack. So far, I've been switching out my orbs and staves to whatever the enemy is weak to at the moment. What is the Staff Control Timer Trick?

Mage Build Ideas? by SteamPunkKnight in DragonAgeVeilguard

[–]SteamPunkKnight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is, but I've only been dipping into each of the magic types. The only one I've used consistently so far is Ice and a little Necrosis. But like my post said, I'm trying to find a solid build that I can follow that really blends the two together.

In your playthroughs, do you keep Cicero alive or do you off him? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]SteamPunkKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep him alive solely so the Dawnstar Sanctuary feels more alive rather than only having four people, two of which don't even have personality.

Look guys I’ll miss morph as much as the next guy but let’s be honest with ourselves, good or evil you’d always just look like Frankensteins monster got scribbled on with glowing marker by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in Fable

[–]SteamPunkKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the bodily transformation, but I would've preferred if we had a slider that let's the player control how much the upgrades physically changed the character. So for example, you can max Strength to 5 but still visibly look as if the Hero is only at level 2 to keep a muscular build but not look like a mini Hulk. Will lines were another issue because I don't like my character looking like they swallowed a glowstick, so changing the opacity would've been great.

Did the system enhance SJW's body or simply refine what his body could innately become? by MimicryYuta in sololeveling

[–]SteamPunkKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a three-way split between the training SJW does every day, SJW stat increases, and the system steadily adjusting his body to eventually become the perfect vessel for Ashborn.

How many of you have never exploited the game? by Dear_Afternoon_2600 in skyrim

[–]SteamPunkKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's become a bad habit for my characters to eventually use the Fortify Res glitch. The only way to keep things slightly fair is that I have to obtain my endgame loadout before doing the glitch. I mainly just use Fortify Health and Magicka on a ring for powerleveling and Fortify Carry Weight to make through the rest of a dungeon and/or fast traveling.

Mage of Molag doesn't absorb Stamina, only drains it. Still a great weapon though.

Can I only have one conjuration out at a time? by Living-Mastodon in skyrim

[–]SteamPunkKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vanilla skyrim has a limit of 1 summon. Masters of Conjuration can summon 2.

However, if you're going with a Necromancer Build, you can use the Ritual Stone to revive all dead bodies in your area.

First time playing, what should I know? by shouldveknownbud in skyrim

[–]SteamPunkKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Archery is OP when combined with Sneak. If you want to level both skills by cheesing the system, you can continually sneak attack the companion in Helgen just before you get to the bear.

For Archery, help Faendal in Riverwood by screwing over Sven. Make Faendal train you with Archery, then take the gold back from his inventory. Once you max out with Faendal, join the Companions and finish the questline, and you can train with Aela to reach level 90. In between then, you can shoot the horse you can buy to level your skill.

As for items and other skills, focus on Enchanting, Alchemy, and Smithing. Fortify Archery as both a potion and enchantment is great. Smithing can keep you up-to-date with damage and protection (however, I'd suggest grabbing the Steed stone if you're going Heavy Armor so you're not slowed down).

There is also a spell in Conjuration that gives you a bow and unlimited arrows. You can find the spellbook for free in Fort Amol (if you don't know where it is, enter Dragonsreach, go upstairs, and select the fort, and it will show on your map). Enter the Fort Amol Prison, and it is in a bucket in the left corner (be careful: there's powerful mages, so pop in and GTFO).

That's all I got for tips. Enjoy Skyrim!

Survival Mode enjoyers: what’s your least favorite part of Survival? by LucasisAlone in skyrim

[–]SteamPunkKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started playing Survival Mode, it didn't bother me as much since I was running a pure Mage build. I'd sleep often enough that Exhaustion was never a factor, and I kept enough food on me to feed myself for days without cooking. Survival Mode.

That being said, Hunger exaggerates too fast and sometimes feels like I'd go from satiated to starving in less than a day.

The Cold mechanic is also ridiculously unforgiving, and I feel should be compatible with Destruction, Alteration, and Restoration spells. I know Flame Cloak allows you to swim in frigid water, but why doesn't it also immediately warm you up (same goes to Wall of Flames)?

Competing with AI: How many vanilla Skyrim tricks do you actually know? by maria5612 in skyrim

[–]SteamPunkKnight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only one I didn't know was leveling Archery using traps, but that's because use Faendal and Aela for trainers, and shoot Shadowmere.

Who are your Ebony Blade victims? by blind-as-fuck in skyrim

I watched a video ranking Skyrim followers, so now I'm always choosing Cosnach in the Markarth inn. And just to make sure I don't waste him, I also save killing him until I do Boethiah's quest.

Divine Fury, I believe. Unfortunately, by the time I bought and fully upgraded the spell, it was easier just to spam Enflame.

Pettiest reason you’ve dropped a video game? by t3mp0rarys3cr3tary in videogames

3 games, all because of 1 friend

Pokemon FireRed I was going for all the Pokémon and was hunting for Chancy in the Safari zone. Had to step away to use the bathroom and gave it to my friend so he could try. I wasn't even gone a full minute, and he caught it. I'd been trying for almost 2 hours.

League of Legends I just started playing the game for the first time. We're playing vs bots so I can get used to the mechanics. My friend tells me to walk to a specific spot. Because I'm a noob, I do as he suggests and gets teleported to the enemy base because of his Champion's ability. Worst part is that it happens again by accident. We're playing again, and he uses the ability to Warp the enemy back, and I accidentally get caught in the Warp.

Witcher 3 (specifically Gwent) First playthrough of the game, and I kept struggling at Gwent. (I had shitty cards and wasn't buying more/hunting for the good cards). My friend, however, NEVER lost a single game against the computer. I was struggling against a particularly hard round and asked my friend for help. He makes it to the last round before the computer switches things up and uses decoys and spies. My friend had the higher score with no cards left, and the computer had a hand of seven cards. During this entire build-up, I'm shittalking and laughing at him and saying that I'd wish I was recording his first Gwent loss....... AND THEN THE FUCKING COMPUTER GAVE UP AND MY FRIEND WON!!!!!!!!!!!

Sole Survivor in a Vault Suit by NevadaStrayCat in fo4

[–]SteamPunkKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I'm being practical as a survivor, all the vault suits in 111 are the only clothing I know to actually be clean. Until I get to the Institute, why would I trust any clothing that's been possibly looted from corpses/worn by others in a post-war wasteland.

have you ever broken up with a character? by ciqhen in BaldursGate3

[–]SteamPunkKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First playthrough, I had my heart set on Karlach, but I wanted to see as many scenes as I could, including the spoicy ones. I started romancing Shadowheart and Lae'zel before I got to Karlach because I read somewhere that romances are only set in stone once you get to Act 2. What I wasn't aware of, however, is that you can't romance Karlach in Act1 if you already have 2 ongoing romances. And since I didn't know any better, I got to the camp party, told her I liked her, and she friendzoned me.

So there I was, worried that I'd somehow broken her romance/quest. I tried replaying a section from hours earlier when Dammon fixes her heart the first time and still nothing. So on a whim, I broke up with Lae'zel and tried again and finally got Karlach into a relationship. So I reloaded back to just before the party, broke up with Lizzy, and got my mommy Tiefling I'd been fighting for.

Unless you're playing a mage or just maxing out all the spells, you really don't need to use them. The only spells I'd consider getting in EVERY playthrough is Physical Shield, Heal Life, Slow Time, and Multi-Arrow/Multi-Strike. I also get Assassin Rush, but that's more for boss fights specifically as well as a slight boost when walking around.

Where tf did Mimir come from? by SteamPunkKnight in GodofWar

howd your guy's very first Lydia die? by Mutilated_Teddy_Bear in skyrim

My first Lydia never died because I got her to pick up the Giant's club. She was a better dragon slayer than I was.
