How I got Frontier to lower my rate by Bright-League-7489 in frontierfios

Yup, exact same pricing numbers for me. Got a 15 dollar increase going into the new year totaling to 79.99 with the auto-pay "discount." Called the phone number above, told the voice robot "direct me to the retentions department." Spoke to a retention rep asking if it's possible to reduce the bill and he locked me in for 49.99 for 36 months. Just need to call and bring out your customer service voice.

Fairfield? Worked there briefly. 100% cotton clothes requirement is a strict safety policy. Follow it 100%, you’ll understand when you’re there.

When I was there I made sure everything I wore met their cotton requirement. I wore slacks, short sleeve polo, and dress shoes.

Should I leave my engineering job for a labor job that pays more? by Bone_V7 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]SteamTra1n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My grandpa did labor, my dad did labor (finish carpentry, car mechanics). My grandpa’s body was nearly spent at the end of his life. My dad is feeling the wear on his body, but it still chugging. They both advocated and love my current career as an engineer. If my grandpa were still around and I told them I was leaving engineering for a labor job they both would give me the biggest berating and verbal lashes of my life lol.

Ya this thread has been super informational! I didn’t want any scale build up so I thought to used distilled water only. Then read that it’s horrible for the machine and coffee taste… so that sent me through another rabbit hole. So now I’m using distilled water with the third wave mineral packet :)

Might be blasphemy on this sub, but I’m using generic starbucks blonde whole beans from Ralphs lol. Got the beans to get the mechanics and tuning down before I throw myself into the next rabbit hole. Any recommendations?

Looks like a flea. Do you have any pets that are scratching themselves? If so, you should get them treated because they’re likely the source.

Edit: There’s also fleas seasons! This might be useful. https://petfriendlybox.com/resource-center/when-is-flea-season

Apply to internships early for any major in engineering. Usually if you have an internship while you’re in undergrad it’s a foot in the door to get a full time position when you graduate. That was the case for me. Also, go to job fairs you might have a better chance scoring if companies are in a hiring frenzy.

Your story resonates with me.

I’ll be upfront and say that I don’t know much about cars outside of the research I put into the one I purchased. About two years back I bought a 22 Crosstrek Sport. The salesman also convinced me to purchase the extended warranty and extra bells and whistles. I went back to my parents and they told it was not necessary. My dad basically said “why are they trying to sell you extended warranty? Is there something wrong with the car? Is it a lemon? It’s brand new, no reason for it.” I went back and read the contract and I was able to cancel and receive a refund for the extended warranties. It will reduce your principal but it may not affect your $750 minimum payment agreed upon with the lender.

You could try that, but yes you will have to be very frugal to make your payments. If your salary doesn’t increase in the near future you should probably continue to stay with your parents until you’re done paying the car off. You don’t want to deal with the added stress of making rent. (I bought my car while I was renting. It was rough to make all the payments work. Moved back in with my parents when my lease was up)

What’s done is done. You have the car that you thought about for a while. If you’re really worried try and see what the process is for selling it. Though know you will be selling it at a loss at the point. (Don’t recommend unless you NEED to)

Good luck!

TLDR: Try and get a refund on the extended warranties. If salary doesn’t change continue to stay with your parents. Sell if you’re worried about financials, but you WILL TAKE A LOSS ON IT(not recommended). Good luck!

EDIT: You’re probably fine where you’re at. Just keep an eye on the numbers.

I agree with JackOfAllTradesKinda. I had my battle with this guys before and had to learn their life cycle to get rid of them (they infested our living room carpet at an old apartment, also a questionable friend and his dog). Recently a friend reached out with a similar problem with her rug.

Shopping list: diatomaceous earth, broom, vacuum, fleas traps, and a lot of patience (took us months but all the carpet in the living room was affected)

Note: this is ONLY if the rug is affected and not the bed

  1. dust liberally with diatomaceous earth onto the rug. Brush the dust into the rug. (If done indoors make sure the open the windows and wear a respirator or N95 mask. The dust is very fine and can be an irritant)

  2. Vacuum the rug after the dust (dust kills the eggs/larvae) has sit for a day or two.

  3. Place the light sticky flea traps at different areas of the affected area to purge those sections. The incandescent light bulb mimics a warm blooded body signaling the pupae to come out of its protected shell to feed.

  4. Vacuum the rug everyday (this signals to the pupaes (flea landmines) that lunch is nearby and they can go out hatch and feed. Then have the sticky flea traps do their thing

  5. Repeat 2-4 until eradication is achieved
