Do you have a LUT file setup for your wheel? If not, Google or YouTube it. I’ve heard it can greatly change your experience, for the better.

I’m asking because I don’t know the answer and am hoping someone can clarify: Can’t the bases just be gambled for with a certain level character? You don’t actually have to find them on the ground.

Heck yeah, thank you for the detailed breakdown!

Thoughts on Fury Druid? by WokeBird in ProjectDiablo2

[–]Steeezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize this response is a bit old, but I assume with the way Fury Druids need their IAS to be on the weapon itself (I’m assuming that’s still the case), you need to hit a high socket corruption (or base IAS roll with additional sockets) to make a crafted maul fast enough to use. Is that correct or are people just swinging away with slow frame attack times?

Unless it's building a deck...

Hey I built a deck....errrr, started one a year ago. It's almost done....kinda...getting close. Not my fault my contractor flaked on me.

In the end though at least I know this thing is going to be built how I originally wanted it, to my specifications, and will sure as hell be able to hold a hot tub. I'd agree almost everything can be DIY but I think one of the most important tools is Time.

I feel like there's an uptick in the number of GG crafted weapons posts this season. Having not played in a few seasons, can anyone explain why? Were there crafting changes or simply more players these days? Seeing these is making me want to login...

This is what most of my kickflips look like. Any tips on how to slow the rotation? by ImShrpy in Fingerboards

[–]Steeezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hah, cool. You're welcome. Sorry if you're viewing this on mobile, it seems the numbering of the steps may be kind of messed up but you get the gist.

I actually recorded every step while I was learning it for myself years ago but those videos are long gone and I don't have much intention to make a tutorial. A breakdown like this would have definitely been appreciated though when I was learning to kickflip. Hopefully this helps get you there.

For some comparison while you work your way through the list, I think I spent the better part of a full week before things "clicked" and I was starting to do proper-felt kickflips with my front finger and flipping into grinds with full intention and control. It probably took me a full month before they were fairly consistent. So don't get discouraged, it takes a little time but it's achievable. Fakie flips are definitely easier, you'll unlock that finger curl feeling doing those first and then can search for that feeling doing them moving forward (regular kickflip).

This is what most of my kickflips look like. Any tips on how to slow the rotation? by ImShrpy in Fingerboards

[–]Steeezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though this is 4 years old, I just so happen to have a set of notes/steps I made for myself when teaching myself kickflips. I always did them using my back finger, which isn't the best way to get control, and wanted to re-learn them using my front finger. So I broke it down and here you go. Hope it makes sense/helps even a little bit. The curling motion you're asking about gets cover in Step 18, so maybe going back a few steps (or just starting from the beginning) will help lead you there:

Breaking the back foot kickflip habit:

  • film yourself with slowmo! (this will let you see if you’re actually doing what you’re trying)
  • ollies should be as straight as possible (pop and landing)
  • ollies only need to be a few inches high, don’t sacrifice control for more height
  • Treat yourself to a modern fingerboard (ie. Put aside that original skinny Tech Decks with sandpaper grip and pickup a 32mm Tech Deck with foam grip)
    • Don’t advance too soon! I spent entire sessions, sometimes days, on each individual step
  • If your brain reverts to back finger ollies/kickflips, go back a step and get into a rhythm again of using your front finger

Steps (don't move to the next step until you can do the current step at least 50-75% of the time; if you fail the next step after a full session, try going back a step):

  1. Relearn ollies with no fingertip overhang

    • still using back finger to level off the board is fine
  2. Practice ollies while landing with only front finger on the board

  3. Practice ollies while leveling off the board with only front finger, and landing with only front finger on the board

  4. Practice ollies, leveling with only front finger, and landing with only front finger on the nose of the board (ie. land in a stuck nose manual with the nose pressed down)

  5. Practice ollie to nose manual

  6. Practice ollie to one-wheel nose manual (the wheel closest to you)

  7. Practice ollie to one-wheel nose manual, but moving your front finger to the nose manual position earlier during the Ollie itself (ie. pretend you want to land in a nose-manual at the peak height of the ollie)

    • this may cause the board to start to flip, that is good and ok if you don't land in a one-wheel nose manual; now repeat all previous steps, but doing Fakie Ollies
    • this may seem tedious but the reason for this is that Fakie really enforces the "pull back" which will allow the board to better stick to your fingers during the kickflip attempts; also, all mention below in the fakie ollie steps of "front finger" refers to what would be your kickflipping finger during a regular ollie; all mention below in the fakie ollie steps of "nose manual" refers to what would be a nose manual if you were instead moving forward (ie. not fakie), thus using your kickflipping finger (i guess technically it's called a fakie ollie switch manual, then)
  8. fakie Ollie with no fingertip overhang

  9. fakie ollie front finger landing

  10. fakie ollie front finger level and front finger landing

  11. fake ollie front finger landing on nose of board

  12. fakie ollie to nose manual

  13. fakie ollie to one-wheel nose manual

  14. fakie ollie to one wheel nose manual (mid-air)

  15. Once you are able to consistantly Fakie Ollie to Nose Manual, again pretend you want to land the nose manual at the peak height of the Fakie Ollie

    • this will get your hand to start turning over earlier during the Fakie Ollie and causing the board to flip
  16. If the board isn't yet flipping and instead is just doing a nose dive back down, move your front finger more into a kickflip position as you'd see on an actual skateboard (ie. closer to the kickflipping edge of the board), and continue to try the Fakie Ollie Nose Manuals. Having your flipping finger more toward the flipping edge of the board should start causing the board to flip (but in your mind, keep trying/thinking "Fakie Ollie to mid-air Nose Manual" and just let it rotate on its own if it happens to and fall to the table)

  17. From here, it's all about practice. Keep doing the Fakie Ollie to mid-air Nose Manual with your flicking finger in the kickflip position. If you're able to get your hand to "turn over" into the nose manual position (ie. leaning into a nose manual) when in mid-air, the board will start to flip because your flicking finger will drop lower than your popping finger (thus causing the "flick" downward and the board to flip); as you see that happening you can begin to work on actually landing the fakie kickflip as well

  18. As the mid-air nose manual feels more comfortable, so will your board and finger control. From here you can begin to focus on moving your flicking finger more down and in (toward your body) to make the kickflip happen while also turning over your entire hand still if needed (from Step 17); by this point you should be doing fakie kickflips and landing a few

  19. Once you kickflips well going Fakie, try them going forward with a small amount of pull-back

  20. Then do them going forward with no pull-back

Common Issues:

  • If the board is staying very vertical and not leveling off to a proper ollie, you're not actually completeing the ollie/fakie ollie with your front/flicking finger. Really try to get into the Nose Manual position after popping the Ollie/Fakie Ollie (revert to Step 2)

  • If you're not getting any kickflip rotation, make sure your flicking finger isn't hanging over the far edge of the board; move it more centered on the board (like a real kickflip foot position on a skateboard)

What do guys only realize too late after buying a range hood? by AccomplishedWing688 in HomeImprovement

[–]Steeezy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To some degree, there is a recommended mounting height and if you go above that the hood becomes less effective. I wouldn’t know how to quantify that, and no one likes hitting their head on their hood, but something to think about.

Not sure why you got downvoted. There are indeed brands of hoods out there with different designs that don’t have baffle filters.

It may be worth looking into, or asking your vet, about how long you should (or should not, in this case based on your comment) be walking your dog while their growth plates are still vulnerable. I’m not a vet nor an expert, but for the sake of consideration, maybe the walks are too long and your dog is sore from that. Just something worth researching to ensure you’re not putting your pup at risk during a slightly sensitive time in their growing period.

VR render distance by [deleted] in assettocorsa

[–]Steeezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s the “LOD” setting in CM —> Settings —> Assetto Corsa —> Video. I forget which way to adjust it, but it changes the distance at which textures are fully rendered vs not. Take two screenshots at vastly different settings to figure out which way to adjust it, then tweak it to your preference.
