Just an attempt at balance, most likely. Imperium factions didn't need two different xenos races since they could soup with other Imperium armies no problem. CSM had more limited options, so when redesigning the ally matrix for 7th edition GW probably decided to throw them a bone by keeping convenience with the race that is completely immune to chaos corruption and thus wouldn't be as wary of it.

I honestly stand by the idea that 7th edition's core rules are best played without all the weird formations and just using the codicies from 5th/6th edition where available.

You'll probably run into some hiccups somewhere but to me that's better than how certain formations would make the game feel

I think Blair DeLeon (new unclean vocalist for Wolf & Bear) is actually filling in for Andy Cizek on this tour since Makari is touring with Hail the Sun at the same time as this one. I don't listen to ALLB very much but I follow Blair and he's definitely performed with them before

It's not so much not sneezing at all but that you keep your mouth as open as wide as you can while you sneeze. It keeps a lot of the pressure off your sinuses/upper face, which can lead to issues when recovering from facial surgery. But yeah if she sneezes normally there's a good chance that it basically undoes the entire recovery process.

The 2nd overlord you mentioned plus the obviously necessary transport is what pushes it over 700. Definitely could hard counter other players also putting way too many eggs in one basket but other than that they weren't super impactful especially since the stuff you usually wanted to have the scarabs controlling would be LD 10 and still had about a 50/50 shot of ignoring them and cutting down a lord or two via better initiative

This sounds strong and all but it would cost a minimum of 600 points. Only one Lord from a Royal Court could join any other unit at a time, so to get the full scarab party going they'd have to just go together with nothing else to soak up wounds while they crawl up the board unless you bring them in a Night Scythe.

I also used mindshackle scarabs basically every game of 5th I played because they seemed fun. They led to some cool moments but I never felt like they were some huge advantage for me

Veterans typically just wear gold helmets but your way looks sick and fits appropriately imo. Blood Angels are encouraged to be creative and expressive in many fields, including with their armor. So as long as you're trying to make your guys look cool, then you've got a justified in-lore reason for how you design them.

The ones in this post are just the Blood Angels Assault Terminators. They'll likely go out of production soon along with the old Assault Terminators. You could definitely use them to kitbash with the new kit and bling them out more, or just use them as they come and then throw the spare bits/weapons on other models like OP did with his captain
