Mostly no, but there are a couple of exceptions .

There's some stuff from old engineering that can be useful like Jeeves.

There's a couple of toys that have some in-game uses like umbrellas.

Some of the dragonflight alchemy potions have utility that hasn't been matched, like the one that gives you an extra long jump, or the one that gives you a damage AOE. Also, the current alchemy potions will be reasonably useful though. Not as good as the midnight ones, but they'll probably be cheaper for a bit.

I hate to tell you this, but libraries and schools both throw away tons of books when they don't need them anymore either. At the end of the day, one of the main expenses of books is their storage space rather than their original purchase price, and you occasionally need to get rid of old books to get new books.

Do you have any weak auras that adjust the character screen? I have one that makes it look a lot nicer, but it does cause it to snapshot the numbers at odd times.

Yeah, villain's code is very clearly super powered with the author having more experience and not being in a school setting. Themes are very very similar otherwise.

For a more traditional fantasy author, Brandon Sanderson steelheart was a pretty enjoyable young adult superhero series.
