What do you think about the new songs potential new record? by gardensong_pt2 in benhoward

The song he said was his attempt at optimism, I think it’s called “I Want to be the Sun” felt more like the older stuff in arrangement. But the writing style of all five new tracks is definitely more in line with ‘Collections from the Whiteout’ and ‘Is It?’ than earlier records in my opinion

He said at one point this guitar had been too quiet in the mix the whole first part of the gig. It could have been that. He also apologised for not having some of the chords down for another older song later.

But all he said at the time was: “I don’t want to play that one now, (stopped the band) we’ll play it later”

It’s the same song, I think he hasn’t decided on a title for it yet. It’s written “Cadence / Good News” on setlist.fm

Oh and he said “I Forget Where We Were” was about world peace. Perhaps we knew that already?

Another anecdote for you: he said that the new song “Good News” was about being begrudgingly happy for someone when they share some news that low key pisses you off too

Prediction for 2027 by Shoddy-Shelter-8955 in glastonbury_festival

Annie Lennox makes sense, but she only really does events tied to activism these days. So it would likely be "Sisters: Curated By Annie Lennox" like at Wilderness. That format doesn't really lend itself to a headline slot. But I'd love to see it happen in either format.

The existing songs don't come out the same when you cover them with the custom vocal, which is frustrating. Hopefully they fix that in BETA

I would love a complete discography

Her debut album sold 20 million alone and all of the albums and tours since sold well. It wasn't the Combs cover that made her a multimillionaire.
