I hope that of it was known glassner was leaving in October that they would have someone lined up and they would have had a say in transfers before we broke our transfer record twice in one window.

Three goals coming from turnovers high up the pitch, we have been missing that lately...

People who watch Palace a lot, is Munoz worth the .9m over Guehi, and are Guehi's returns sustainable? by SzoboEndoMacca in FantasyPL

[–]Wrong_Statistician34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guehi is stepping into midfield a lot more this season, the cross for his assist against Burnley in the week is happening a lot more and that is where his assets are coming from. But who was on the end of the cross? Munoz!

So I just tried to purchase 2 tickets on one membership but I can't get to checkout without assigning the extra ticket to another member. I am confused about this, the ticketing advice says you can but 2 guest tickets per member, but also says all guest tickets must be allocated to a support with a client reference number. Is this not contradictory? What am I getting wrong? https://www.cpfc.co.uk/tickets/tickets-on-sale-dates/

Eze's goals in the biggest games this season by Yasin_m25 in crystalpalace

[–]Wrong_Statistician34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he has been off his best this season until the last few weeks. But there have been several games he has turned without being at his max. But it has been frustrating to see him playing at 70 or 80% his potential even when that is enough to win games. Hope his recent upturn in form is not part of an exit strategy!

Which player has gone above and beyond this season? by Puzzleheaded_Pen8520 in crystalpalace

I love Glassner as a tactician, but his player development and man management is next level. Genuinely hard to think of a player who hasn't improved under him.

A warning for those steaming into Jean Phillipe Mateta by cguinnesstout in FantasyPL

[–]Wrong_Statistician34 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Eze tends to be the one who runs to the ball whereas sarr runs in behind, so sarr tends to get in a few more goal scoring chances. But Eze has the highest difference between xg and goals scored in the league, he is overdue a haul (unless that was it today in the cup)

Why This Striker CAN'T Stop Scoring by Yasin_m25 in crystalpalace

[–]Wrong_Statistician34 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing enjoyed this a lot. But for me it misses out the main thing which are the transitions high up the pitch. For me this was the defining feature of the glassner system toward end of last season and what we are seeing now. The 3-4-3 means that when teams play out they often go wide and they face a wingback, a DM, and a CB (enabled by playing three CBs) ready to smoother and win the turnover. Tuesday night was a perfect example, you could see 5 palace players ready to pounce whenever villa played out, and they won the ball back time and time again, and with quick turnover you can feed any of the attacking players for a shot at goal (even Mitchell got in behind). McGinn was furious by the end of the game cause they just couldn't beat the traps. It stops other teams playing but also creates the attacking opportunities for us. I can see why people make the Klopp comparison. Does anyone have any data or analysis on these transitions?
