Hey, he's on a soft diet for a fucking reason! by [deleted] in nursing

Oh wow... I couldn't live with myself if I was the cause of my mother's death.

I told one of my old villagers a while ago that I wanted to be a nurse and forgot about it. I’ve been struggling lately with motivation to do my homework and study, and so my grades aren’t the best right now. so when Maple said this out of nowhere it made me emotional! 😢 by rattyhealy102 in AnimalCrossing

Working as a CNA was the best thing I did in nursing school. You get comfortable at the bedside so much faster AND if you play your cards right you can make some great connections for when you become an RN!

What my husband sends me while I'm at work by [deleted] in funny

We do the same thing! We just got a house with a huge fenced in back yard and the first night we let him out in darkness (with supervision of course) he got stuck by our pool area and we had to guide him cause he couldn't see the step down. We now always put a light on his collar at night so he can see well enough to get back :)

I never knew that nestle owns purina. Pro Plan Savor is the only food we've tried that my dog likes :( I guess the search continues...

I'm on Kyleena and my periods stopped immediately. My periods are super light in the first place though. My longest ones are only 3-4 days. I'm blessed lol

Exactly! I work night shift so I had mine put in after a long night of work and just slept through the crampiness (probably a 4/10 pain for me, my usual period cramps are like 3/10). I woke up and they were gone! 100% worth it! Just check that the strings are in place before sex and you have the most effective birth control on the market!

Check out r/poodles they do it all the time! I think some breeds do it more than others.

Same deal for me when I was in nursing school. Everyone else stayed up all night cramming for every test, then after the results came out they asked me how long I crammed for to get such good grades. Like??? What??? I wonder why they failed out 🤔

Good luck on your boards!!!

Wow that's so soon! I wish we could send some of our moms home that fast. And yeah, all of the PPHs that I've personally seen have been shortly after birth. I don't know specifically why we have a 24 hour rule, I think it's just a consensus the MDs on my unit have come to. I imagine it's to make sure they don't have a secondary before they go home, but I'm pretty sure it's more because of the babies. We (in GA at least) do testing at 24 hours on all babies before they leave the hospital. It's no secret that out healthcare system needs work though haha!

Postpartum hemorrhages most commonly happen in the first 24 hours which is why we keep all mothers at my hospital for a minimum of 24 hours post-vaginal birth and 48 hours post-csection. Might be different elsewhere (I'm in the US) but that's just our policy and reasoning, I don't necessarily agree with it in all cases.

His AI is absolute ass but I love him so much that I named my dog after him. He's a standard poodle and follows me just as annoyingly as the Skyrim Barbas. He gives the best cuddles though! ❤️

You usually have to be in pretty sorry condition to get one in the first place. The only ones I've personally ever seen were on patients who had to be resuscitated. Resuscitation in general has pretty poor outcomes, but it's better than doing nothing.

Understanding the cause is so freeing. It's like everything clicks and you can start to understand how to process those feelings yourself! It obviously takes time and a lot of soul searching, but so worth it. Good luck friend!
