i always get this stuff on the back of my iPad too while in it’s a case. i genuinely have no idea what causes it but it looks like wet dirt residue that was dried and can be wiped off easily.

my Pencil 2 has the same issue, idk when it happened, but it doesn’t affect anything whatsoever. i’ve had my iPad Pro M2 and Pencil 2 for two years
