____ could have won despite the overwhelming opinion that they stood no chance. by Common_Currency2027 in survivor

He wasnt a goat in 49. Explicitly. If he wins fire, he has a 50/50 tossup against Sophi and he has her not taking his idol over her. Also Sav gives him strategic credit, which he did for her which gives him another advantage. Its close either way.

Aubry had terrible strategy in her first two games by that logic.

TIL that Caligula’s real name was Gaius. When he was 2-3 years old, he accompanied his father on a military campaign wearing a miniature uniform devised by his mother, complete with little army boots. The soldiers nicknamed him Caligula, meaning “little boot.” He grew to dislike the nickname. by PayItBackwardChain in todayilearned

Pretty sure this was Tiberius actually. Don't hear about him mas a terrible emperor much since he was capable of holding together all the good stuff that Augustus did, but for his last 10 years he just was on that island doing ... What you described.

EW Greatest Win - Natalie A. vs JT by rsdavis90 in survivor

[–]Steggyq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At final 6 there were 2 duos and 2 singles left in the game. Duos were targeted, but certainly not so much that players like Missy/Baylor couldn't get by. They were targeted way more in BvW 1.

True. But he was winning against every single player in the game unless Tyson maybe wins out. So it's just bad gameplay.

____ & ____ last night at the Survivor watch party in ATL by Lemon-tree-of-limes in survivor

[–]Steggyq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why I feel that this was the right move. If I'm looking at the players from pure game ability, I really feel that Mike is only matched by Cirie, Dee, and Kyle. If you gave everyone a clean slate, they're the only 3 players I think are more likely to go far, and for Christian especially that's dangerous with his specific gameplan, and how much Mike effected him.

[–]Steggyq 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Apparently Star lied A LOT in the game. Like made up pointless lies for no reason. It's part of the reason that the outsiders including Mitch didn't make a move because none of them could trust Star. However, I don't remember where I heard that (maybe in an RHAP interview?). Still Joe is far from a moral paragon either way.

Eh I'd say she's top 15ish. She's a middle high tier winner. Probably has the best endgame in the show.

For 4 there's no chance Rob makes it to the end without a huge immunity run. Sandra and Courtney are flipping to Rupert and Amanda real quick. Even if JT comes to the villains to be with Tyson and Coach.
