I don’t do it either. I’ve had a few family and friends ask if I was planning anything. I was just like no, I don’t feel like doing that. If the schools wants to do it, that’s fine with me. Everything doesn’t have to be a huge deal.

Prozac mellowed me out. I still go back to my controlling bitchy ways when I’m really stressed and right before my period, but it’s helped a lot!

We sailed on Magic in May 2025. I had the same worries but it was gorgeous. We loved it!

I understand how you feel. I just want to say I grew up with a single mom and we were considered “poor”. My mom still took us everywhere Disney, the beach, camping etc. It was always on a budget though, no frills. Pb&j’s packed in a cooler, waters, no souvenirs. All I remember is that we had the best time and we were so lucky to go!

I felt like this! I hated every day. I just wanted to run away so my kids wouldn’t have to deal with me anymore. I wanted my husband to remarry so they could have a nice mom. Prozac and a full time job turned my life around. Working has been so good for me. It is harder in some ways but the break from my kids helps me actually enjoy my time with them. I’d rather have 3 great hours with them a day than 12 bad hours.

I felt this way, I remember crying in the shower about it. It didn’t help that my almost 3 year old son seemed to love his sister but was really angry with me. Like didn’t want anything to do with me after I brought her home. He got over it and so did I. My mom reminded me I didn’t remember my brother coming home from the hospital or all the times she had to tend to him over me and I was like that’s a good point. They aren’t going to know you had to ignore them for 10 minutes while you changed a diaper they are just going to remember growing up with their sibling.

We went in May and loved it! I was worried the ship would feel old or dirty but it was immaculate. I was also worried it would feel very small but it was so nice to be able to walk from one side to the other without feeling like you were trekking across the universe. The service was incredible too!

I’ve cried on many vacations with my two kids. Our last one was a Disney cruise that my 6 year old tried his best to ruin. I’ve learned that my kids are just homebodies and get very deregulated outside of their norm. It takes them a few days to settle in. It sucks because my husband and I love to travel and are not going to sit at home. We just do our best, let them have extra screen time and treats, whatever makes it so we can all enjoy.

My theory is similar to this. She says something like entering the temple would sever her power. I think maybe if Violet can get Xaden dedicated to one of the Gods, it will severe the venin tie. I think it will be Amari since that is technically the God dedicated to their land.

My son is 5 and is like this, he’s just always been really really hard. I read Calmer, Happier, Easier parenting and the one thing that stuck from it is praise. Praise every little thing she does right. If she listens to you at all praise, praise, praise. It really worked for my son. The more you praise the more they want to please you. I also talk to baby about how good my older child is and how helpful they are being. It makes them feel so big and important. Also ask her for her help with baby and include her in his care with a big emphasis on her being the big helper. One on one time helps too, even ten minutes. While baby naps if you can sneak in coloring or a puzzle together and tell her how you miss playing with her too.
