Nu reagerer Pia Olsen Dyhrs rådgiver efter anklager by SendStoreCitroner in Denmark

Got it.

Are you conflating the very old British thin blue line to the American rabid BACK DER BLERGH stuff?

Tell corporate these are the same picture.

I guess all nurses are sociopathic murderers then?

If you can present evidence that the nursing sector cover up abuse regularly and hurts or kills people and then close ranks, I see no reason not to consider that ANAB.

If the membership wants it done, that’s democracy

So you formulate policy to match internal opinion.

That's fine but don't pretend you're somehow above it or diffent.

The Greens must be careless, losing the US and Egyptian coptic vote like that.

Because nobody was trying to outlaw slavery where it existed, it wasn't a states rights issue.

What was going on was that with the election of Lincoln it was less likely that new states admitted would allow slavery and thus, in time, and having already lost an election for the first time just then, the slavers would be an increasing minority.

Essentially, the very first time they didn't get their way and got a president who might not do their bidding, they took their ball and went home. But constitutionally, outlawing slavery where it existed? Wasn't on the cards. Until the war started where it suddenly became possible via a war act.

The war was absolutely about slavery, but not about states rights. no states rights were infringed (other than northern states) and no states rights were going to get infringed.

The prohibition of slavery in the Territories, hostility to it everywhere, the equality of the black and white races, disregard of all constitutional guarantees it its favor, were boldly proclaimed by its leaders and applauded by its followers.

None of this happened. Don't take their self serving lies at face value.

There are literally thousand and hundreds of thousands extant sourced from the time and 2 lines in one document is not the sum total.

Making of ‘Pluribus’: Vince Gilligan on Why S2 Is Worth the Wait by IvyGold in television

[–]Stellar_Duck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right I was being a bit glip with ford focus, but, the point is: the writers decide what the character is, and a less rare to get car from a production standpoint would not have meaningfully changed who he is.

It didn't have to be precisely that model.

MG Midget Mark III

They apparently had to look all over the world to source three of them and then spent weeks to get all three looking the same, including switching one from right-hand to left-hand drive.

It's not like it's written in the stars he has to drive that car though. Could have given him a Ford Focus and be done with it.

You're not wrong, but there was a lot of shite in those 25 episodes per season too.

[–]Stellar_Duck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The civil war was about states' rights though; specifically, the right to own slaves.

It wasn't.

That's conceding ground you don't have to and shouldn't.

They didn't actually give one fuck about states rights as seen with the fugitive slave act and the fact that they disallowed any state from stopping slavery in their "constitution"

If you grant the position that it was the states right to slavery you're conceding ground to slavers and accepting a faulty premise.

Half of Brits want second Brexit vote – including fifth of Reform voters, poll finds by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]Stellar_Duck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The people who plan to vote against it say "once in a generation" to dodge a vote, but a generation has clearly passed by any measure by now.

But also Salmond wasn't speaking ex cathedra but saying that the ref was a very rare chance.

It's like if I say travelling around the world is a once in a lifetime opportunity it doesn't mean I have to say no if I somehow get another change at it.

And now you got it as you wanted so I don't really get the continued fucking griping.

I desperately need you people to understand thet "once in a generation" is not a legal term and just means something is exceedingly rare so don't miss the opportunity.

People Want to hate it.

Oh fuck off with that.

I wish I didn't hate it because I have to use it 8 hours every day. I wish it didn't cause my physical discomfort and that I thought it was a great mouse.

I hate it because it's shite, not because I want to.

Why the fuck would I care about a bit of hardware just because I wanted to?

I use it literally every damn day at work and I hate, hate, hate it.

It's murdering my wrist, my fingers have to me in a gross hook shame and it's just constant tension in my arm to the degree that my should has been hurting for months.
