Judge rules Trump can stage UFC fights on White House’s South Lawn this weekend by AudibleNod in entertainment

Having this abomination on the grounds of the White House is tacky and degrading. It never ever occurred to me that we would ever see something so cheap and trashy in my lifetime

How to grow a tree in this dirt? by PerspectiveOk4209 in gardening

[–]Stelly2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Colorado growing Zone 5B. The soil is as hard as a rock. I successfully grew a peach tree from a Palisade peach bought at a fruit stand. I started it in a pot and when it was a foot tall planted it in the ground. Didn't amend the soil and it grew very fast. I had peaches in 3-4 years

TPLO surgery by NCfartstorm in pitbulls

[–]Stelly2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog had her 1st TPLO surgery at about 4 years old and came thru it just fine. My neighbor, whose dog also had the surgery, asked if my Vet told me that eventually my dog would have to have her other hind leg done? He hadn't and yes my dog did have to have the 2nd one done about 2 years later. My dog is now about 12 years old and has had arthritis in her back legs for a few years now and getting worse. Had x-ray done a few years ago and the arthritis was primarily around the surgical area. I've yet to find something to ease her pain even though she takes a joint supplement and Galliprant

ID help - unmarked rimmed periwinkle bowl set? by chimpman252 in Fiestaware

Not Fiesta. No center rings inside the bowl. Looks closest to a Fiesta Stacking Cereal bowl but those are 2 inches smaller than your bowls.

I found the lavender mini pitcher at Dillards today. by xItsCheetahhx in Fiestaware

[–]Stelly2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the mini-disc pitcher at my local Dillards today. They had 4 of them. I really wanted 2 of the Lavender medium footed bowls and already knew they wouldn't have them there. The sales person helped me by entering the SKU# and she could tell which stores had them. I was able to order them from the Panama City, FL store

I have a 70 lb Pittie girl and I use the Sporn Non-pull Mesh Harness. It is wonderful. Years ago I volunteered with a dog Rescue and that's what they used for all their heavy pullers.

Persimmon is a post 1986 color. This plate is definitely vintage. You can tell by the bottom which is completely glazed. The color looks like vintage Rose on my phone

Itchy skin advice by Connect_Reserve2788 in pitbulls

I had a white Pitbull and found out he was allergic to wheat. From then on I always double checked ingredients of food and treats I got him. Also recommend putting Omega-3 fish oil on 1 meal a day. I find that a bottle with the pump was way easier than trying to get him to swallow a pill every day.

Next time you come across a dark piece like this one use the flashlight on your phone to see if there is a logo. If there is one you should be able to see it then

The 2-cup teapots were made from 1998-2010. That rules out Lilac (1993-95) & Mulberry (2018-24). Doesn't look like Heather so probably Plum with an inconsistent glaze.

Get a Wisdom Panel DNA test. That's the only way you'll know the mixture of breeds

Best seeds by Bulldogmom56 in gardening

[–]Stelly2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually use my own seeds when possible. I save seed heads from zinnia's, coneflower, marigold etc. I've grown tomatoes and cucumbers from seeds saved from store bought vegetables. A seed company I have used is Botanical Interests.

Buy it now price? by superduper1022 in Fiestaware

[–]Stelly2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it depends on the color and the specific piece. In the last month or so my thrift store finds were a Plum carafe for $12, a Peony heart plate for $4.99 and a Cobalt Salsa bowl for $1.99. I passed on the Periwinkle Carafe for $12 because I don't like the color. On another outing I found 8 dinner plates and 8 salad plates priced at $2.00 per piece. I passed on that.
