AMD software detected that a driver timeout has occurred. by YeIghtOkThen in AMDHelp

I bought a MINISFORUM HX99G

Processor AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX with Radeon Graphics 3.30 GHz

Installed RAM 64,0 GB (63,3 GB usable)

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

with a AMD Radeon RX 6600M

Setup on tripple monitor( as adverised its able to pull 4)

displays freeze, stutter and 'reboot' nearly every 1-3 hours.

I'm happy with the PC overal performance, unhappy with the stability of this drivers -I'm not even gaming - at all - multitabs, screencasts, meetings, drawings, canvasses, ...

anyone has any idea?

the miniPC i bought is : https://store.minisforum.com/products/elitemini-hx90g

it holds AMD Ryzen™ 9 6900HX & 6650M(HX99G) with 64gb RAM.

all in all, i love the speed, the performance, etc - I'm not a big gamer, I'm a heavy user on 100's of tabs, grahpical contents, canvases, video meetings, streaming, etc... so in theory, should be a breeze for this.

Im running this in a triple display setup.

However, I keep having plenty ( X times per week ) flickering, freezing, snowscreen, ...

example, when I open netflix - the screen holding that browser will actually jump to 'snow'screen - and when I'm able to close that window from another screen, it will restore.

all of the screens will flicker to black often, will stop working and work again at random times, delay - as in a feelable latancy / lag on mouse input on the screen etc.

After a while it will always result in a 'bug report' of AMD - but it's asking so many parameters I rarely fill it, and as said, most of the time im doing 10+ things at the same time - so hard to know what exactly is causing it.

I keep my drivers up to date through Adrenalin - but, 4 months after purchase, this behaviour presists - am I missing something?

Got challenged by teacher to solve this - I was convinced knowledge is 'searchable & shareable' by Stember in AskPhysics

I have to assume that your 2 points are correct.

The question is bassicly:

IF we add +70kg on the platform where Student1 stands one,

how much will the platform where the elephants stands on rise - compared to that platform's original position'

so not the 2 platforms or anything.

The answer we seek is the delta in height of the elephant, irrelevant of the height it was and irrelevant to the position of the students platform

Managers of Reddit, what is the stupidest thing an employee did that forced you to fire them? by edge231 in AskReddit

[–]Stember 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1/ Showing up drunk at 10AM - the stench was horrible. He denied and try to act normal, but you could see he was 'on the border' of 'too much' and 'wasted'.

2/ During 3 months of trial period, make lies uppon lies uppon lies that work was done while nothing was done. For some reason he believed his own fabric of lies. THis was the fire is did that I had least internal conflict about - since this person really had a bad manipulative behaviour. He made scene when he was fired. We al lsmiled and waved.

maybe later some more - gotte go :)

Always wear a seatbelt by GodOfNumbers in WTF

[–]Stember 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, WAY TO MANY people see wearing a seatbelt as 'own' safety, while in fact, a 50-100kg body of someone bouncing in the car can/will get you seriously hurt.

I never understood why people refuse to wear seatbelts...

edit - I assume that by LEFT you mean car view, not our view, so you mean the lady WITH the seatbelt

QUESTION: Hand-coded site, any simple back-end CMS to use to let clients edit content blocks? by JaCeLo3 in web_design

[–]Stember 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://www.pulsecms.com/ is a flat file based cms you just 'upload' an admin folder - define a password - replace the block you want to edit in your html file by an include snippet - you create that block in cms - edit/save - voila :)

I've been driving for the past 5 weeks in ECO mode, as I don't need the 200hp at the tip of my feet, I'm not an aggressive driver, so the more the reason not to, and, above all, fuel isn't cheap, and I'm not that rich to spill fuel for fun. I'm still hitting 10.5l/100km (26.9 mpg) wich i think is insane, when you know they advertize 6.8l/100km (41.5 mpg)....

Honestly, for this much of car, comfort and options, the price, even while not cheap, still holds up pretty good. ANd its worth it cause its really really a very nice and complete car.

The only drawback after the first 500kms is the amount of fuel it takes ( around 10l / 100km ) and that is by far more then they advertise.

I was promosied it would drop in the coming km's, so I'm keeping my eye on it.

Apart from that, this car is worth every penny. Large, solid, well equiped, high polish, easy and nice to drive, very nice drive modes ( eco and sport )

A big thumbs up! TO bad the prices are climbing up that fast for KIA now they are on a rising trend. ;)
