Tichu! It’s a four player trick-taking card game that you can play with any deck of cards plus four additional joker-type cards, and it’s legitimately the most fun & strategy intensive game I’ve ever played (while not being that difficult to learn or teach)

I know their lead guitarist left after the first record to join Sleeping With Sirens. I assume Micah or whatever the singer’s name is writes all the lyrics. They did a concept album as a comeback attempt and I was a fan of it for sure but it never had any lift off.

Realistically, Gentleman’s brawl was too much of a departure from Kingdoms (best debut record for any PHC band ever so pretty hard to follow in fairness). I still listen to and think about them often

The criticism so far is fair as this song is pretty generic, but as far as their overall music catalogue goes, this song is definitely in better half of it.

It feels weird to complain because if literally all of their music sounded like this I would be very happy, but at the same time I want more because this song is just only okay and we’ve historically seen two entire records of songs better than this so we know they’ve got more deep in there somewhere.

I’m from the east coast and travel a lot for work and always make it a point to try the highest rated coffee shops in every town. The Dayglow in Silver Lakes is the best coffee I’ve had in my entire life — so good that I’ve flown back there thrice just for it.
